What a crazy #MoneyMonday. #SPY still sinking lower. This was the #NXPI#trade from this morning and what a trade it was... Another great example of; 'the longer the base'. Once the stock triggered at the 111.75 entry it broke down in a flash!
Anyone take it with me?

BUY NXP Semiconductors (NXPI US Equity) at US$88.86
Investment merits: ★EBITDA increased 75% year on year. A broadly diversified business mitigates risks in the electronics sector.
★Highly significant acquisition of Freescale, turning NXP into the world's top automotive electronics maker.
★Surging demand for its products. Rapid development of autonomous vehicle technology by automotive giants Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen and Toyota signals a strong demand for sensory equipment and integrated automotive electronics. Expect the sector to expand at 6.8% every year from now to 2018.
★Blue-chip clients in Apple and Samsung! Proliferation of digital payment methods in Apple pay and Samsung pay results in strong demand for secured near field communication integrated circuits. NXP is the world leader in near field communications and a key supplier to Apple and Samsung. Rising middle class in APAC region benefits companies across the supply chain in consumer electronics.
★Growth trajectory intact. Digitalization of industries from industry 4.0 to predictive analytics generates strong growth potential for NXP's Standard Products, which is projected to rise at a compound annual growth rate of 4.3% between 2014 to 2018
◆High leverage. US$ 12bn acquisition of Freescale Semiconductors resulted in an overall debt standing at approximately US$ 4bn
◆Difficulty in smothering competitors. Infineon Technologies (parent company: Siemens AG) in the EU automotive market, while Renesas (parent company: Hitachi) in the Japanese automotive space, and Qualcomm and Texas Instruments in consumer electronics space
◆Oil and gas sector weighs on earnings, as sales in industrial electronics slow.
NXP Semiconductors NV plunged the most in four years after forecasting an unexpected decline in fourth-quarter revenue as customers pulled back on orders amid a slowing global economy and higher inventories of unsold chips. The shares fell as much as 19 percent in early New York trading. NXP anticipates a percentage drop in sales in the “low to upper-teens,” the Eindhoven, Netherlands-based company said Thursday. Analysts had been predicting an increase. Third-quarter revenue was little changed at $1.52 billion, NXP said. The CEO added that he primarily sees acceleration opportunities in China. “In Asia, they are very commonplace with contactless payments so we’ll see it develop much more aggressively, much more rapidly in China and Asia than in the U.S. and Europe,” Clemmer said. NXP supplies chips to enable secure payments for phones as well as the chips that read payment devices, benefiting on both sides of the transaction.
