At Playworks, children are encouraged and inspired to play, explore, generate ideas, innovate, and create, while the teachers ask questions to help the children reflect on how they did things, like what worked and what didn’t work.
Another beaut feedback from a nursery teacher at St Pius in Dundee. Absolutely wonderful. Love how he/she plans to use mindfulness with children who are presenting distressed behaviour. I’m going to be in St Pius this term so hope to meet the nursery team too!
Suitcase LOVE 💕 This is the small @numero74_official powder suitcase... it’s the cutest wee thing and the perfect size for little hands... as with all @numero74_official goodies it is ethically handmade with love xx
Do you love pears?
This is a very early flowering miniature pear we have left from the old nursery. It's in a big pot and growing into the ground in the front forest garden and is surrounded by hyssop, chamomile, currants, roses, geranium, clary sage, Lebanese cress and California poppies.
I will have to remove many of the baby pears so we get a few large ones rather than 50 tiny ones.
It flowers at the same time as the early Nashi pears "Ya Li" and also Twyford Monarch. I think it's a promising pollinator for very early pears. The bees just love them.
It's the intellectual property of Flemmings so I can't reproduce it but I'm enjoying getting to know it. I don't buy from Flemmings because they don't use organic principles and they bulldoze and burn what they don't sell.
I have lots of apple and pear trees I have grafted myself and some great permaculture growers lined up for next year doing citrus, cherry and more!
