The year is coming to a close, and I’m spending a lot of time reflecting. On the memories that mean the most to me. Here is one.
I flew into San Francisco late after work with only the pack on my back. After a... disagreement 😳 with the rental car company I found myself at an airport hotel way past midnight. Woke up within hours to get outta town, driving north up towards my final destination — Redwoods National Park.
I’ve driven the majority of the California coast multiple times, but, of course, I still made lots of stops on the way. Golden Gate Bridge. Every cute coastal town. Anyone selling anything on the side of the road. And here 👆🏽.
The first time I drove by the famous cypress tunnel it was crawling with people and sports car photo shoots. (Not my scene 🤷🏻♀️) so I headed on to hike closer to the beach. Saw the lighthouse. And went well over the amount of time I gave myself in my only-in-my-head itinerary.
Decided to head back to the trees on my way out. Just in case. Because, honestly, overcrowded famous tourist stops are overcrowded for a reason — they’re beautiful. Unique. Once in a lifetime kinda stuff.
But to my surprise, on this beautiful sunny afternoon, it was just me. I walked and ran along the street under the trees. Watching the sun create the most interesting shadows. Constantly moving. Took some pictures 👆🏽 and laid in the grass until some other people showed up.
This wasn’t the reason I went to California — but it’s the memory I love the most.
When we stopped traveling full time and couldn’t visit a new National Park almost weekly Graham needed to find a new way to collect badges and fill his nature cup. The @thecubscouts seemed like a good fit. The boys are camping at their first scouts camping event. Isla wanted to stay also but it’s a little chilly for her this time. Next time she will get to camp with them. Hopefully, we can family camp again soon. For now, Lowell needs to be at home. He is still battling an ear infection and some tummy issues. #camping#fatherson@rei#beachfront#nps@gulfislandsnps#gulfbreeze#florida

For my 100th post, I figured I’d post a picture with 3 of my favorite things. A new day, Maui, and a National Park.
Freezing for the sunrise while above the clouds, at over 10,000ft at Haleakalā National Park. 🥶 IT. WAS. SO. COLD. We even dressed warm, but it wasn’t enough.
I got a review from one of my clients:
☑CRD Group, certification of products & services www.CRDgroup.ru
I asked them to share what they'd done and what results they got: ⠀
🔶"SWOT analysis revealed both our strengths and weaknesses: now we know what to work on.
🔶We called our customers to get our NPS rate and spotted both the managers' and the company's gaps. We took measures to eliminate those and boost our customers' loyalty.
🔶We came up with scripts to get our "sleeping" customers back and got to return 70% of them.
🔶We implemented a payment board and the "traffic light" system. That ended up bringing us a 20% growth within the first week and promoted competition among our managers. 🔶Thanks to the scripts and the product handbook, our new managers get adjusted in 1 week instead of 1 month. 🔶We introduced a system of contests. That allowed some managers to match their plans in 15 business days.
🔶We're actively integrating АmоСRМ. We plugged in call automation and recording. 🔶We're currently implementing the stages of the sales skill model. The managers already had their bonus training with Oy-li, "Connection & Communication".
All of that increased our sales by 30%, raised our customer loyalty by 15%, and boosted our average receipt by 40%".

"Islamophobia" Poetry Slam presented by @rudyfrancisco, Natasha Hooper and Amen Ra This was long ago at NPS Final, 2016 and the first vid I have of Rudy's. Since then I've been following him on YouTube listening to his work.
Sorry that i couldn't slice the vid and make this post into carousel. I'm hook up with getting my presentation slides done but still hope to share this with everyone. Catch the full vid in my IGTV.
You'll have to listen to this elevated speech!
NPS benefits extended by centre and almost made at par with EPF
Individuals can now get PPF, EPF like benfits on the National Pension Scheme (NPS) as well.
Besides, amount deposited in NPS’ Tier-II account would be eligible for benefits under Section 80C with certain restrictions.
The employees of central government can now choose pension fund manager or investment pattern of their own choice.
Around 18 lakh government employees who joined service on or after January 1, 2004, are likely to be benefited.
Private citizens aged between 18 and 60 years of age can also invest in the scheme. The NPS rejig is may cost the exchequer around Rs 2,840 crore for the next fiscal.
As per the existing NPS rules, 40% of the total accumulated corpus used to buy annuity at retirement or reaching the age of 60 was already tax-exempted.
Out of 60% of the accumulated corpus withdrawn by the NPS subscriber at the time of retirement, 40% was tax-exempt too. Now, the entire 60% will be tax-free, bringing it on a par with other investment schemes like Employee Provident Fund and Public Provident Fund, both of which are exempt from tax at contribution, accumulation and withdrawal stages. In another tax benefit for subscribers, contribution under Tier-II of NPS will now be covered under Section 80C for deduction up to Rs 1.5 lakh for the purpose of I-T benefits, provided there is a three-year lock-in.
The impact on the exchequer on account of increase in government’s contribution is estimated to be around Rs 2,840 crore for the 2019-20 fiscal, Jaitley said.
Addressing a press conference, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the changes have been made in the larger interest of employees.
According to Sandeep Shrikhande, CEO, Kotak Mahindra Pension Fund, this move is to bring those government employees who joined after 2004 and were offered NPS on par with those who joined before 2004 and were on defined benefit...
