Is just me, or Jake is under-reacting here?
It’s pretty funny how the other kids react though!
Sam looks in pain. He definitely knows the kissing game. He’s been with Mia for a year, and before that there was this other girlfriend he had, but I forgot her name...
Felix can’t even look at these two kissing, and it’s pretty funny because he doesn’t get upset that easily when talking about disgusting things.
And Andy is somewhere between curiosity and pure irk.
Jake took it pretty well, all things considered... So, if I were to build a scale of maturity based on this, Jake comes first, followed by Sam and then Andy. Felix was definitely the childish one here!

And just because I think black & white pictures are the best... See you in a couple of days!

And one more about Felix.
This guy would give his life to save his loved ones. And acquaintances too (yeah, Andy...)
He is a little bit out of his mind, but I don’t see why after getting to know him better, people wouldn’t want to have him as a friend.
Also,... look! Heterochromia by light!
I’m pretty sure the point of this scene was to show how they all would be dealing with the fact that Felix knew what happened, but never said a word. It’s a shame they didn’t expand this to let the other kids to acknowledge that:
A) Felix actually found out he was the “cause” for sure like a couple of days ago.
B) he definitely didn’t know he was a witch that could cast spells
C) Oscar was a big factor in what happened here
I didn’t like the show that much when they gave Sam that nasty line hoping that if Felix died he could return home. That was not nice, and specially not for a character like Sam. He is selfish, yeah! But he could never be that mean.

Book quotes first: well, Andy finds out that Felix did a thing,... while reading at his diary / AKA book of shadows.
I am somehow unhappy that Felix’s motives were never discussed. Not in the tv show, nor in the book. But at least in the book there are some mentions about it, specially when the three kids calmed down and start looking for new solutions.
Final post of this day.
I will eventually add a quote, I guess.
But anyway. This is Felix looking somehow between angry and annoyed.
I really think it’s a good thing Felix is a good boy. Otherwise, a fire element could have turned very dangerous...
So. That’s all for this day.
I will be posting some more stuff as soon as possible.

Just in time!
You and I are January children, @emmae11 !!! Well, Felix and Jake are discussing what else to do to find Andy, and Sam is just staring at Felix. Mesmerized.
7 236 days ago
This is the moment in which Oscar just uncovered Felix’s plans on swapping himself to Andy. And I though, how nice! They all look worried. Well, except Oscar. He looks mad at his brother. And to be honest, if I would be Oscar, I would also be mad.
But then Felix quickly convinces them to let him take Andy’s place and then figure out the rest.
And I’m like... um...
WITH Felix, the witch, the guy that read far too many magic books already, they had a hard time to even contact Andy... and they believe him when he says they will figure out what to do later?
So they are all willing to let Felix go to negative space.
And I wonder: why Andy became so important for all of them in just a couple of weeks (according to the timeline of the show)? So important that they are all somehow okay to just exchange Felix to get him back?
Let’s say Jake likes him a lot and that Andy grew on Sam along those weird days in the other universe. But why even Ellen and Oscar would care about someone they just barely know?
I really have no one to talk here.

And since I was watching that episode again,... well... Oscar tried to make him promise he wouldn’t do something stupid, which is code for something reckless and/or altruistic. But Felix can’t lie about this, so he just doesn’t say anything. Of course, Oscar now knows he is, indeed, planning on doing something dangerous, and he is not planning on stopping.
I find this scene pretty sad because Felix is choosing to leave Oscar to save Andy. I guess he still has Andy’s family’s grief quite fresh in his memory.
And the worst part is that no one ever found out Felix didn’t do that call.

I read this, and I have to find a Felix shot to do this.
He is smiling, but he is not happy.
He is trying his best to avoid Oscar from making him promise he won’t send himself to negative space. Why? Well, because he has already made his mind, and he will try to swap himself for Andy.
The guy that is always dismissing and discrediting whatever Felix says. The one that is jealous of Felix because Ellen likes him, and not Andy. The one that stole Felix’s diary not once, but twice, and managed to get into trouble (AKA negative space) triggering the whole season two. The one that kept talking about wormholes in a press conference, even after experiencing magic transporting him between universes.
Really, Felix...? #nowhereboys#felixferne
And talking about privacy violation... here is Ellen, taking her opportunity to look into Felix’s bag because he was trustful and left that bag with her when he was called by Jake.
I guess he never saw this coming...
But hey! That quote is funny!

So they all go back to Phoebe’s. And then eventually they fell asleep. Except Andy is still up. And waiting. He’s been waiting for an opportunity to take a look at Felix’s diary.
I know that for narrative purposes, Andy reading that diary was the best thing to prompt what happened next.
But still... he just grabbed that diary and read it. Something as private as a diary. And knowing that Felix really have strong feelings about it. And yet, Andy doesn’t care about doing this. And then no one else care about that. Of course what he found was big. Like, BIG. But once Felix’s diary is out of his hands, Andy keeps reading. And reading.
And I wanted to hit him for that.
I don’t have a diary, but I’m pretty sure I would be very upset if something like that would happen to me.
Also, I just remembered that diary, and my findings on it. So now that fragment “the first few made no sense to him”?!?!? The first ones are about Oscar’s accident, about spinal injuries, about herbs to help Oscar, about ambulances, about Ellen.
All the sense in the world!!!

Once out of the hospital, it is Phoebe and not Sam the one that walks along with Felix. So, these two are together, walking somehow apart from them, and they are chatting like two conspirators. I guess Sam and Jake are walking together, since they are friends. That leaves Andy to observe. And to wonder.
And one can only agree with him.
If Felix could cast that spell, and save their mums, what else can he cast? It’s kind of scary, if you think about it..

Hello... I’m still on holidays, so, still away from home. Or, more accurately, currently posted in my ‘other’ home...
Anyway. Book quote (there are 150 of them, just in case you are wondering, and this is the number 95!)
So. The thing is that in the tv show the line of the vaccine was given to Andy, but in the book it is Felix the one that explains this concept when attempting to explain what he did when he created his own spell to save all their mums.
I guess that when designing the show, they decided to give more screen time and lines to some characters, so in the end they would have a more or less equal importance (or at least screen time) in the final version of the show. But still. That line delivered by Andy always felt flat for me.
And a sad one. But also one to think about. Most People that had to endure hard times in their lives look at the world with different eyes, and sometimes, they manage to show you how to appreciate what’s good in your life.
Last post of this day.
See you in a couple of days...
In the show, the spell chanted by Felix goes like this:
“Earth, water, air, fire. Upon this tablet I invoke thee. Your strength, your power to heal, while this tablet remain at hand, our mothers shall be safe throughout this land’
As you can see, it’s quite different than the one that Felix says in the book. I like the one in the book a lot more. I wonder why the writers changed it...
THIS is definitely a nice little #nowhereboys throwback, All the way back to July 15th, 2015 @ 7:04pm. I’m pretty sure this was taken near the end of filming for the NowhereBoys movie. Not much to say about this one except for: everyone’s hair is completely different now lmao everyone but me 🤷🏽♂️
Definitely the last one to share the exciting news 🙈 The FINAL season of Nowhere Boys is coming to Australian screens on December 3rd!
