Save Your Battery - Don’t use your smartphone while charging it 🔋👌
“Ever wondered why phone manufacturers make such short charging cables? Do they want to save money?
No, the answer is — They don’t want you to use the phone while charging. Yes, they discourage the idea of simultaneously charging and using it, as it reduces battery life to a large extent. Most phones run on Li-ion batteries and these batteries have a limited charge cycle after which they need to be replaced.”

OFFICIALLY STUDENT LOAN FREE😵🎉😱😭 .
$29,678.00 in just over 2 years. I graduated in December 2016 and was left with just shy of $30,000 in loans. Yesterday I received that sweet, sweet letter telling me I was officially repaid in full and I was FLOORED. I had to get Andrew to read the letter just to confirm, even though I knew it was coming 😂 .
I decided to move back home in order to take advantage of the NWT’s student loan program. And while being away from Andrew (who’d just started at the U of M in January 2017) was so, so hard... I knew that the alternative would be to move with him and have a nine year payment plan. So I chose to bite the bullet and move back home, which is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did I work hard at repaying my student loans, but I also worked hard on my #fitness. In two years I worked off nearly $30,000 and 100 pounds. 😂
I am so incredibly fortunate that I was able to live with my parents (who I love and get along with swimmingly, even when they lose at smash bros) and I am so fortunate that I got to spend so much time with my best friends. Words cannot describe how happy I am and how much this time back home meant to me. I am simply just so excited to see what comes next. 💖
Photo creds for the first photo @xxichigo_kit1xx 😂😂

5th of 5 #NorthernAlberta pics.
When our children were young we travelled them from East coast (Cape Spear, Cape Breton, NS & PEI) to the West Coast (Tofino, Ucluelet ) and several places in between. This past Christmas we experienced role reversal where our daughter & her husband led us (taillights in pic) on a #highway trip to the northern edge of #Alberta to experience off the tourism trail #amazingnature where they live.
Animals live moment to moment. ☀️⠀
We could learn from them but often ⠀
choose to plan too much, overthink things⠀
and expect too much from our lives. ⠀
Artists experience time like animals do.⠀
They paint and exist in the present moment.🌥️⠀
Just completed this oil on wooden panel.
We like to say, one of northern Canada’s best kept secrets are their winters! Winters in northern Canada are different from anything you would experience in the south. The days are shorter and the weather is colder, but that doesn’t stop our employees from having a great time!
If you love snowshoeing, ice fishing, winter camping and skiing; northern Canada is the place for you!
This picture makes me laugh because Buck looks so mean. But that couldn’t be further from the truth! In reality Buck is very easy going and even passive, and at only 14 weeks old, Rúna is already walking all over him. We are trying to encourage Buck to stand up for himself, but if anyone has any tips for dealing with a puppy that’s a bully, I’d love to hear them!

Tsiigehtchic, Northwest Territories - June 2010.
Going on a trip down memory lane!
A Gwich’in community at the confluence of the Mackenzie River (longest in Canada) and the Arctic Red River, Tsiigehtchic is accessible via ferry (or ice road) on the Dempster Highway. Often overlooked as it’s not on the direct route to Inuvik, a pit stop here was a pleasant surprise! Nice photo opportunities in a pretty setting. I love these under-the-radar locales!
