Finding really good authentic tacos outside of California is mind boggling hard. So I rarely get them. But @bodegasobe does them right. These lobster tacos made me and my tummy so happy. I literally tore all these up in less than a minute. If there were a taco eating contest and these were the tacos you had to eat, I’d for-sure win.

s'more smørrebrød in Strøget
The lunch special at Café Norden is no joke. A flight of three smørrebrød comes on a platter. There are plenty of traditional and modern pålæg (toppings) to choose from. I selected the pork tenderloin, the sausage, and the egg salad.
The pork tenderloin was so juicy, and the sausage patty was so savory and flavorful. Americans, beware that the egg salad is not what you might expect. It is chunky and is topped with shrimp. The ratio of mustard to mayo is more akin to the European palate.
I planned to have several beers after a morning full of sightseeing, but three smørrebrød piled high with protein and sauce became the afternoon's biggest obstacle. I still managed to down a Carlsberg before the food came out.
The restaurant is located in the center of Strøget, a pedestrian only shopping street. It faces the stork fountain and is a prime location for people watching. It is really busy and popular in the afternoons. Even if you can't find seating on the patio, the windows are big enough that people sitting inside can see the commotion in the streets.
Smørrebrød, by the way, is one of the national dishes of Denmark. Stegt flæsk (the fried pork from a previous post) is the official national dish.

todays loaded coconut yogurt bowl featuring cinnamon chickpea “granola”🍂🥣 who else has been obsessed with BIG yogurt bowls lately? they are so quick to make plus you can add tons of superfood toppings on to make you feel 💯! here I switched out a typical sugar loaded granola with cinnamony-sweet crispy chickpeas😍
1 (15 oz) can of chickpeas drained & rinsed well
2-3 tbs sweetener of choice ( I keep mine sugar free with monk fruit)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp melted coconut oil
mix all ingredients together and place in air fryer at 350F for 15 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer (best tool appliance ever!) roast on a lined baking sheet at 350F for 30-45mins, stirring every 10 minutes.
I then added pumpkin seeds, and cacao nibs and my new fave fall veg 👉delicate squash
