On the Upper East Side of Manhattan, at the intersection of 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, construction on the new mixed-use building is making major headway. Designed by HOK Architects and developed by Kuafu Properties, Stillman Development, and Ceruzzi Properties, the project will offer 61 condominiums ranging from 2 - 5 bedrooms. An additional 30,000 square feet of retail space will occupy ground level. Construction progressed quickly when the structure reached street level earlier this year after demolition of the previously extant occupants was completed at the end of 2017. The installation of the facade at the bottom level has begun facing 86th Street. Most of the corners of the building are column-free and wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass, facing west towards 86th Street and Lexington Avenue for maximum light capacity. The first renderings were released three years ago when the three developers purchased the property for $340 million. Another large building behind the project, 152 East 87th Street, has already topped out, and will be a 210 feet tall rental building. Completion is expected next year. #newconstruction#newyorkcityrealestate#uppereastside#manhattan#manhattanrealestate#newyork#newyorkcity#nycresidentialapartments#viewsfromanyctaxi
