Throwback 2007. My first time ever visiting New Hampshire and I was blown away. It was just by chance that I decided to go up there for spring break (ha! To the snow lands!) with friends to visit other friends and I met people that I still consider some of my dearest. It was here I learned of the silence of the northern woods, the wonderful writings of beat poets (thanks Benny @ben_a_fish_shell, pictured closest, with one foot up ready to pounce along frozen ponds) , the possibilities of eccentric expression and CONTRA dance, of which I miss dearly. I miss many people and places and realities and I am sure I will miss the one I’m in at some point too. It’s ok to miss things, to reminisce and revisit those times and how they affected your whole life. I value my relationships with people and place over time/ I value my friendships so much that I realize that I can’t keep up with everyone and everything promptly- but if we see one another again- know that I’m right here with you and value you. And the places too- I’d probably cry to get to hug one of those western hemlocks again that aren’t wooly adelgid stricken and lay under the soft shade of their thin needles.
Been on a mini vacation this week look after someone's fur babies in Dover. Went and worshipped at St Mary's tonight. What a beautifully stunning interior thus church has. I may have to go back to simply take photos. Wow...
Reposted from @puppykittynycity - We are heartbroken.
Sally has 2 perforated corneas and is completely blind. She will most likely lose both eyes. We are leaving her at the vet so she can get eye meds, IV anti-biotics, fluids and vitamins. She is only 8 weeks old.
Sally’s bill is minimally $1,573 and we could only afford a down payment of $500 today because all of the devastating rescues this week have drained us.
We beg you all to donate even $1, every one of you, so we can continue our volunteer work for these animals who have so few advocates.
Please help 🙌🏻
No spend 2019 update: 19 days in and so far I've only spent $41.80 and that was on groceries and gas. Zero impulse buys, zero spent on wants!
My rules for no spend 2019:
•Only spend on needs: food, gas, shelter, etc.
•One want allowed for the whole year.
•Eating out is okay as long as it doesn't jeopardize food I already have (like an apple going bad because I decided to eat out instead.)
•Spend as little as possible, save as much as possible.
Expect plenty of updates on this! I'm excited : D
Memphis found what looks like an icey ear, lol. The Creator and Mother Nature are the best artists. Tomorrow it’ll all be covered with a new canvas of snow.

The climbing of Mt Washington weekend was even more fun and spectacular thanks to these climbing friends. So many laughs and sharing in the pains of mountaineering. Thanks for a great weekend. And thanks to @freddiewilkinson and Sam from @cathedralmountainguides for being AWESOME guides.
Here’s my #10YearChallenge, it’s more like a #10YearReflection... A reflection of how I have evolved into the #woman I am today... 2008 was the 3rd year I had been practicing as a #RegisteredNurse; I was a Medical-Surgical nurse on an inpatient care unit and I had a #vision and a #dream to become a #NursePractitioner someday... I wanted to expand my career but I wasn’t sure how to do it... My oldest #daughter was 2 years old, and my only child at the time... I knew that I wanted more children someday, I just didn’t know when it would happen... I was also living in an apartment at the time and I knew that I wanted to own my own house someday, I just didn’t know when and how it would happen... #health and #fitness wise, I was on the heavier side- I knew I wanted to lose the weight and lead a healthier #lifestyle, but I just didn’t know how I would accomplish that vision...
Rewind to #2018 and I have accomplished so much career wise- I have had the pleasure of climbing up the ladder in the nursing field and currently hold my license to practice in #Massachusetts and #NewHampshire... I work on an inpatient Critical Care unit and as a home-care #Nurse and I’m working on some exciting career changes as we speak... I am also currently enrolled in an #AcuteCare Nurse Practitioner program...
My then 2 year old daughter is now 12 years old and I also have another daughter that is 5 years old...
I have also had the ability to buy two houses in that time frame...
Health-wise, at 41 years old I am in the best shape of my life... I have since become a #vegetarian and I have lost that extra weight and lead a moderately healthy lifestyle... Although these aren’t the only life changing events that have happened over the last 10 years, I can say that these are the ones I am most proud of...
A lot has happened in 10 years- a lot of ups and downs- #happiness and heart ache but what matters most is that I did not give up hope and the will to make things happen... I am the #happiest I have ever been, and that right there is what matters most...
I am #blessed and #grateful for the last 10 years...
