Heartfelt Thanks to the community for supporting us at are up and coming Rustic Yoga 🧘♂️ Retreat this weekend at The Stroud Monastary.
This is my 1st time involved in running a 🧘♀️Yoga 🧘♂️ Retreat and thanks to @francescadavyyoga for asking me to co-pilot along with Dominique as our cook creating vegan nourishment.
We will be offering Restorative, Yin, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Meditation & Pranayama. A walking 🚶🏼♀️ Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Sacred Circle ⭕️ Ceremony as we approach the Full Moon 🌕 and creating a 👁👁Vision Board. .
The Stroud Monastery is situated amongst the native 🌳flora and fauna approximately 1 hour north west of Newcastle with lots of space to find peace and tranquility.

Many of us find ourselves living uncomfortably on *this* side of discomfort and vulnerability. Allowing those feelings seems too scary, so we play it safe over here.... never fully experiencing life. Joy, excitement, passion, enthusiasm.
We sometimes get a taste of those amazing feelings but we never seem to get a firm grasp. Life always feels a bit dull. Things never feel quite right. We know we could be experiencing more but we don't know how.
However I believe that there is a way.
I'm no Dalai Lama, Jesus or Buddha but this is Mel's map to contentment:
The land of Mildly ok but Not Joyous ~>|Mt discomfort and vulnerability~>|The land of Freedom, Really Feeling and Contentment (via the Good and the Bad rd). Or put another way: We have to face our shit if we want to start living a life we love.
There is no bypass. We have to climb that mountain. There are boulders and snow and yeti's and howling winds... but with the right tools and support we can do it. We come out looking a little ragged and worn, but our feet are tougher, our muscles are stronger and we are way more resilient.
By seeking forgiveness, facing our fears, owning up to the pain we've caused, making the tough decisions we've been avoiding, taking the plunge. Being brave. We find ourselves in a whole new land that we can experience more vividly. Where we can love deeper, share more authentically, live more fully.
Yes, there will be more mountains to climb. That is life. No one gets a free pass. But they become less scary because we have the tools and the resilience to conquer each new challenge when it arises. Just look at how chill some of your elderly friends and relatives are, no matter what comes their way. They have a thing or two to teach you.

Thesedays the pull to protect is strong. .
With faster-paced lives it is often our go-to to protect short-term rather than prepare our kids to make their own wise decisions ready to look after themselves longterm.
It often doesn't occur to us to even consider alternatives.
What is one thing you have already done this week that has protected your child when, in fact, they were probably up to learning to manage that for themselves?
Both protecting and preparing take time and our emotional energy.

💥 6 tips to get up in the morning for the gym by @michaeluptonpt

It’s still pretty fresh in the morning and individuals are still finding it hard to get out of bed to get to the gym.
Here’s some little tips that can help you continue with your lifestyle change and/or getting that summer bod, remember getting that bod happens in winter.
1️⃣ Find yourself an accountability partner. This partner can be a friend or even someone you meet at the gym through attending a class. This happens a lot at @wellfitpersonaltraining as it is a friendly environment and everyone works together to get to their goals. These partners agree to meet you at the gym and hold you accountable if you don’t turn up.
2️⃣ Put your alarm across the room so you physically have to get up and get it. You will find once your up, you won’t go back to bed well first few times you might but your accountability partner will be onto you 🤪
3️⃣ Just sleep in your active wear that way there’s no excuse to not being ready.
4️⃣ Prepare your day the night before so clothes, food, etc. that way again you have no excuses.
5️⃣ Paying your membership or Personal trainer in advance or through direct debit will force you to get to the gym unless you like paying for something your not doing 😏
6️⃣Tracking your progress on the calendar or in your phone. You will be surprised how much it will motivate you to keep going if you see on the calendar that you have trained 4 days this week and then look at it the next week and haven’t trained at all. I know someone that does this 😜@thetravellingdietitian
