Warning: bun in picture looks perkier than it feels 😂
We made it to Friday eve!! Things I'm looking forward to this weekend: a pup adoption event, easy miles, getting random things done around the house, relaxing with my boys, & packing for our trip to Arizona as @mitchellflippin enters RACE WEEK for #JJ100 😍🤩👏🏼 What are you looking forward to this weekend?!
6 easyyy bluebird trail miles with some strides last mile for the day 😊
Had a pretty solid 6 miles with the @blueoxrunning squad tonight. Savoring what is probably one of the last warm days before the 6 month Wisconsin winter hits. 😑❄️☃️
Also loaded up on some @honeystinger products tonight. Cannot recommend these enough! Organic fuel made from honey. the gels sits so well in my stomach on my long/hard days. Can’t wait to give the chewables a try soon. 🍯🐝
A little #TBT for ya. Ran the #ecmarathon 5k back in 2017, ran about 18:14 I believe. That was with about 6 weeks of training. Excited to throwdown something faster this weekend. 2 days in counting. 🤠🤠🤠 (also peep that vintage @remodrivemn shirt, miss those dudes)

After looking at some maps and and trying to find some runnable routes I stumbled on the Blacklick Creek trail routes through a park and added it on to Sunday’s route. #RoadToNYC#NoDaysOff
You never know what you’re capable of until you try! 🙌🏻
Never in my life did I think I would have run 1 marathon let alone be about to start training for my 6th! Can’t wait to start this new training cycle and for one of my favorite races, the @lamarathon!

Happy Throw back Thursday #tbt. Today I was looking at old photos and I cannot believe it has been almost 3 years since i ran my first half marathon. .
This half marathon, though not my PB is my proudest moment in my running journey. I am proud of this half marathon because 3 months and 2 weeks prior to this half marathon I was in the hospital with legionnaires disease and necrotizing pneumonia. I had just finished #lemtrada and ended up int he hospital for 2 weeks with limited use of my lungs. I didnt even have the strenght to get out of bed unassisted. As a 23 year old I can tell you it was a humbling experience. It made me realize that even at 23 we are not invincible. .
I remember asking my doctor when i could start run training again, and he looked me in the eyes and said I should probably forget about the race, and try walking again first. .
Those who know me know that I am a stubborn mule and when I decide I want to do something I am going to do it. So that's just what I did. I will be honest at first training sucked, my lungs burned and sometimes i may have coughed up a little blood... but i fought through the pain and sometimes my sanity. 3 months and 2 weeks to the day of being released and I ran my first half marathon in 1:56, I have since broke 1:50 and next summer I want to hit 1:45.
For me these photos remind me to never stop fighting
