Hey it’s me, aka @haleysuemiles, Forever showing up to your engagement session with my og crooked smile, probs wearing my Birkenstocks in all climates (or my boots if there is risk of cacti/sandburs) It won’t be weird. I’ll be weird but that’s half the fun. I just had a guy tell me he was really nervous but he ended up having a ton of fun at their engagement session. We’ll be silly. I’ll fall off my step stool an average of 3.5 times per session. I love the challenge making people feel at ease. I am not naturally the most extroverted person, but I’ve always been drawn to the person who felt out of place and tried to show them they are welcome here. We’ve all been there. I was more nervous than Mark before our engagement photos and it just takes about 20 minutes to relax and break the ice-because you’ve probably never taken photos together like this! I can’t wait to see your little town and your places or family land that means more to you than anyone else. I promise it’s a ton of fun and we’ll have a celebratory drink after. Cheers!
What’s something you wished you knew before your engagement photos?? Share below! I’m still finishing my wedding magazine and I’m adding engagement session tips. .

Can’t wait to celebrate with these two!!! 💍 8-17-19 💒 Leah & Garrett 👰 🎩 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The old saying of "when you know, you KNOW!" couldn't be truer of this couple! Every single time I got together with them I could feel palpable happiness that they shared but also emulated out for those around them. I left our meetings/sessions extremely happy and I just knew that they were meant to be.
Just wrapped up a morning full of bridal consultations! I have so many exciting weddings booked for the rest of this year and 2020. All of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session because I think they are a great opportunity to get to know each other and for couples to learn how I pose and direct before the pressure of their big day! I love taking engagement photos at locations that are meaningful to my couples, and for Emelie and Bradley, this was one of those locations. It was so fun to spend some time at the place where they met - not to mention how beautiful campus is in the summer! Can’t wait to be back myself in a few short days 😍
These two beautiful souls got married this past weekend! This forest wedding was full of magical light that danced through the leaves, a small creek and even butterflies that wanted to join the party! Everything about this day was perfect, and I am so thankful I got to be the one to capture all these incredible moments!!
i really want to know what your favorite starbucks drink is! i am sickkk of the white chocolate mocha and need to try something new! but how cute is this little @starbucks pitstop?! i loved the fact that these two wanted to sneak away for a sweet moment with just the two of them before heading out to their reception. okay i loved absolutely everything about this wedding. so thankful to @maebeam for letting me tag along with her.
You are allowed to change.
There is nothing wrong with change. Everyone grows, everyone changes, it’s part of life! If anything, it’s a GOOD thing. Could you imagine if you were still the same person as you were 6 years ago? I’m cringing even thinking about it!
As a photographer, it’s important to put myself out there! There are SO many fun/quirky facts about me that none of you know (yet!) that I can’t wait to share with ya and bring out in my new brand/website! -
If you haven’t watched my story, go watch it because I’ve made a pretty big decision for my business but I couldn’t be more excited!! 🙌🏽
“A circle has no beginning or end and is therefore a symbol of infinity. It is endless, eternal, just the way love should be. For many the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. This is because the vein in this finger was believed to lead directly to the wearer's heart.”
Raise your hand if you think men should be allowed to wear their rings before the wedding also! 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Let's talk self care. I usually put myself last, between babies 👶 + homelife + the hubbs + and work, I just plain run out of time. How do you do it? And what is your "me time" moment that you can't live without? Do you run? 🏃♀️ Is it your morning coffee? ☕ What do you do? And how, for the love of the Lord, do you fit it in???

On our honeymoon Nick and I were sitting at Disney World eating a Mickey shaped pretzel and I told him I had another crazy idea- I say another because our wedding planning was full of “I have a crazy idea, but what if..” .
Anyway, I told him that I wanted our photographer to print every. single. photo. in our album so that we could hold them in our hands for the first time we went through them. We’re talking 1,100+ photos. Just a lil crazy.
So she did it and returned them to us yesterday and I can’t even explain how cool it is that our whole wedding day is sitting physically before us in a lil black box. We went through every photo and really looked at each one. Not just kind of scrolled by them, but picked them all up, ran our fingers over them, + reminisced on the emotions of the day.
I just imagine my great-grandchildren finding this box tucked away in an attic someday and thumbing through each photo. I just got chills even thinking about that! There’s something about a printed photo that digital media can’t come close to replicating. I love it! . .
June 13, 2019 really was the best Thursday ever. All the crazy ideas (dinner before ceremony, sunset ceremony, taking the first kiss photo from behind us - see last picture - and more) were exactly what we wanted and we wouldn’t change a thing. Scroll through to the end to see the digitals of a few favorites. ♥️ .
Huge shoutout to @haleycchicoine for going with & encouraging every idea + returning the mostttt precious package. We’re so thankful I’m about to cry typing this hahaha
