When we (I, personally) lack the understanding required to explain two seemingly contradictory statements in the literature regarding evolution, I think it's best to crowdsource further information as one means of better understanding. Here's the difficulty: while the mallard is accused of "genetic pollution" by reproducing with other species, the definitions of speciation that are readily available suggests that the end result of speciation - the process by which species diverge - prevents separate species from interbreeding and producing fertile offspring. Yet, this is what the mallard is said to do. Further input would be appreciated.
By the way, the ducks did have the right of way here. They just missed the proper crosswalk zone - I'd guess due to the size of the semi beside them.
Moon over the dune! If you look really closely you can see the moon above the crest of the dune. There’s an observatory at the Bruneau Dunes State Park which is perfect because this park is in the middle of nowhere and the sky gets really dark.

Наше фотографије су и оне које надилазе годишња доба, за нас се роде или осунчају јануар.
Зато су ове посебне. Зато су моје.
Хвала фотографу на свјетл(опис)у. 😊❤🌅
