This was a custom order and it may be one of my new favorites!! See how it says “resting place” as part of the definition??

Instead of dreading Monday, think of it as a new day to get stronger! Whether it’s drinking more water, adding an extra 10mins to your workout, or going to bed early - take Monday to think better more useful thoughts!

I’m super excited to introduce to you Elemental Recycled Products! I’m excited for two reasons. First of all, @elementalprods has a phenomenal product. They ship sustainable toilet paper right to your door. It’s 100% recycled paper, free shipping, competitively priced, made in USA, and they even donate a percentage of their profits to youth education and land preservation. Their toilet paper is made with 64% less energy, 74% less pollution and 50% less
water than traditional toilet paper.
Ok, so you understand this Nashville based company is the bee’s knees right? But let me tell you another reason why they’re super cool. A few months ago, when Elemental reached out to me to partner together, I took a peak at their product and saw it came wrapped in recycled plastic. I kindly told them that I liked their product but wasn’t a fan of the plastic packaging, even if it was recycled. And guess what, they listened. They decided to offer plastic free packaging for customers!! So here’s the deal, Elemental Recycled Products is a new eco-startup that’s doing amazing things for the planet AND they listen to their customers. We need to support small businesses like this one!! So please go check out their website ASAP. They’ve offered a sweet coupon code of $7 OFF for all my friends - tinyyellowbungalow2018. #sponsored

Y E A R L Y C O.
When I was pregnant with my second child I was helping the women in my family source bangles for our anniversaries. I found a class at Vanderbilt to learn to work with a torch and started to craft bangles in a little corner of my garage after my little ones went to bed. It sparked total joy in me to be able to hand craft something so special. My husband had just started his business as an entrepreneur and we were renting our house through Air Bnb to earn some extra income (with 2 kids under 2 which was possibly the most stressful time in life to do that 🤪), and with one of those rentals I used the money to attend an amazing branding workshop with @honorcreative to launch my official logo and website. I made each item by hand, wrapping up orders and running them to Fedex with a baby in the bjorn and a toddler on my hip. It was slow and steady, answering emails during nap time and carefully creating a system of sizing women with brass sizers to make sure their fit was perfect. I’ve grown my business these past 4 years mostly by word of mouth, customers sharing my work and this wonderful (and sometimes very crazy) thing called Instagram. I’m thankful for every single order and I’ve added local talent to my team with McKayla, my marketing director, and local jewelers helping me meet production and set stones. Our gold is sourced from an amazing family owned company from Louisiana @stullerinc and we don’t make your order until it comes in, because your bangles are fit to your wrist down to the 1/4” so you can slide them on and never take them off.
I’m a wife, I’m a mom, I’m a female business owner, I’m a @gardenandgun finalist in the 2018 Made in The South Awards, I’m a friend, and I’m a supporter of any woman out there hustling to make something they love and share it. Thanks for being here with me on this journey ❤️ #yearlyco#anniversarybangles#milestonebangles#goldbangles#nashvillesmallbusiness#femaleentrepreneur
🌿Friday Introduction🌿. Good Morning and happy Friday! What a week it’s been. Juggling 3 businesses and the need of my daughter can leave me feeling..well exhausted. BUT I don’t take for granted what a privilege it is to run my own businesses and do exactly what I want. This week my daughters health has really had to be first priority. My daughter relapsed this year with leukemia and had to receive a bone marrow transplant. It’s been the hardest year of my life. Hell if I’m being very honest. I was fighting for my daughter, fighting for the business I worked so hard to build but having to let go of what wasn’t in my hands. I tried so hard to work at least 1-2 days while we were in the hospital, to give me normalcy, a min to get out of those 4 walls and do what is the best distraction for me, Hair ❤️When we got out of the hospital and I opened @the_greenhouse_salon I immediately felt that fire I had at the beginning of my hair career. a vision I’ve had tucked away for awhile now, coming to life! I felt CONFIDENT in my work and HAPPINESS I haven’t felt in a while. This space is for me and Arlie. To make you look good but to take us away from reality and have FUN. And that’s exactly what we do at the Greenhouse. We don’t take ourselves too serious, we love on each other, we SUPPORT each other, as women should. Did I feel crazy for opening this place a week after my daughters 3 month hospital stay? ABSOLUTELY but I wouldn’t have it in other way. This is your Friday reminder that you can do anything. The hard stuff, the Fun stuff, the challenging stuff, YOU CAN DO IT!

It’s easy to get swept up in the undercurrent of instagram pseudorealities; to look at someone doing the thing that you wish you were doing, or doing the thing that you’re also doing but seemingly better and feel terrible. After years of this, I am not immune, if anything I feel even more susceptible because the standards people hold me to are higher. Perfection is lonely, constant curation is isolating and keeping all of your insecurities and fears and past traumas tucked away in a box is exhausting. Some days I feel strong, I feel capable, I know what I’m doing and I’m proud of who I have become, but there are days, and they creep up on me without warning, where I have to put up blinders, keep my head down, and do my very best to get through the crippling feelings of self doubt and insecurities. Those feelings of jealousy and competition. But today, thankful, is a good day. We have our first inspection tomorrow at The Catio, and the progress we’ve made towards opening is astounding. The bumps in the road don’t seem quite so big anymore. I still lay awake in bed at night worrying about vet bills and deadlines and the way that I am navigating this new venture but I’m working on that! Yesterday, my dude told me something really important that I can’t get out of my head. I was just sharing some of my feelings with him, and he said to me “You aren’t weak for being scared, but if you don’t share your story with your customers, your community, nobody will ever know what you’ve had to overcome.” Share your story, put in the work, allow yourself the kindness that you would show another person putting it all in the line. Do your best. You are loved, even from afar, behind a screen, by a stranger doing their best, like me. ❤️
