Was lovely to have some rain last night but today’s weather calls for a beautiful warm mohair throw rug, by the fire and with a warm drink or a bubbly one 💙

S A Y W H A T? .
It's almost Wednesday. How in the...? I feel like the week literally just started.
I guess it happened while I've been stuck in front of a computer screen. Not many breaks between pinning and creating blog posts.
Two new #blogposts about Christmas decor are up on www.redesigningmeblog.com now!
Check them out!
"Лесные" оттенки зеленого стимулируют умственную деятельность, поэтому (а еще потому, что смотрятся они восхитительно) они прекрасно подойдут для рабочего кабинета!😍

O Christmas tree 2018...
It wasn’t my intent to decorate this tree today, I was just going to fluff, but I made the mistake of placing a blueberry stem on it and I just couldn’t stop. Behind me there is Christmas explosion and that means we are eating dinner out because there isn’t one surface that isn’t cluttered with the makings of this years Christmas. I’m debating on removing the painting for the holidays and christmasfying the mantle, let me know if you think the painting should stay or deck it out with some Christmas baubles.
Happy Tuesday only six more weeks until Santa comes!
Was able to finally visit a friends place in the concrete jungle that we helped #edesign & it turned out so cute! 😍

We are so excited! These handblown beauties will be here for the weekend! Get yours at the #wellesleymarketplace on Saturday.
We were a young couple when we discovered this fixer upper in our ideal neighborhood during the bottom of the market. We got lucky in a sense that we were able to afford it due to its condition which also means lots of projects for us. Some has taken us years to get to a good place like this mudroom. Swipe to see its progress from unused breakfast nook to mudroom. That last photo shows how we lived in it for a few years and we’ve appreciated every stage. I hope you never feel discouraged if what you have currently isn’t where you want to be. // Also, when I shared our mudroom, there were questions on where did we store the shoes? Doing a project like this can create a domino effect.
• we built the bench
• that got us to organize our shoes
• that inspired us to make better use of our closet here
• so now only shoes that we wear often gets put under the bench which we will get boot trays for. No shoes on the rug. The rest of the shoes are neatly put away in the closet. Out of season shoes are stored in the cabinet. Winter hats, gloves and backpacks are placed inside the shelves above the radiator. Happy to report that it’s been a good system! Hope this clarifies!

I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is in 9 days! Nine. Days.!!! I love this time of year but I can't help but feel like this year just flew by. This is a throw back to the last tablescape I created in our old home in California. Question for you... Are you hosting or going somewhere for Thanksgiving?
I saw @goldalamode put a kumquat tree in HER bedroom, so I bought a kumquat tree 🍊 (mean girls, anyone?) No, in all seriousness kumquat trees are very special in my family. My sister still has the original tree my grandma planted that is over 35 years old! I thought living in Bend, Oregon took me out of the family kumquat tree game but seeing @goldalamode foster one indoors has renewed my hope! 🙌
Follow along in my stories for my southern California plant excursion. Was like a kid in a candy store. And follow @goldalamode, just because her feed is amazing.
Anyone else getting ready to host Thanksgiving?? I’ve been so excited to decorate for Christmas 🎄 and I need to refocus. These napkin place cards are still one of my favorite Thanksgiving ideas. Get all the info on creating your own personalized wraps in the link in profile☝🏻
We’ve been looking for a house for about 9 months and I’ve been antsy to transform our living space. It’s killin’ me! So I’ve decided that a quick planter project may do the trick, and can move with us when the time comes. We have 7 or 8 gorgeous orchids of all kinds that constantly rebloom. They must be in a prime window because I’ve never in my life been able to rebloom an orchid until I moved in with my husband. He’s definitely got a green thumb.
Anywhos, the plants are pretty BUT the planters are 🤢 so I ordered a bunch of new pots for a new look. I can never get enough #blackandwhite together! Stay tuned for the transplant 😬

Before I totally fill my page and say ‘game on’ for Thanksgiving and Holiday tables, here’s a color palette (and shot!) I completely fell in love with. 💕 Now tell me, do you love the details of this NEW @lenoxusa Chelse Muse dinnerware as much as I do? These are the accent plates, which just happen to be perfect for pumpkin pie! Photography: @bessielacap for #TableandDine

Subtlety working in the winter Christmas theme in...sort of. What’s your game plan for decorating for Christmas? Are you committed to after thanksgiving? No plan? 😂
I generally try to decorate after thanksgiving, but I’m trying the idea of decorating for winter and working that in slowly this year. We’ll see.
Also if anyone has any ideas for decorating non-working fireplaces - I’m your girl. We have two old non-working fireplaces and I feel like they need some love. More in my stories on this. 🙋🏻♀️

Tabletop Tuesday. Totally digging these rattan chargers! (and the flowers, tablecloth — really the whole look)

When thinking about my kids’ rooms the number one goal was creating a space that could grow with them. I bought items that remained relevant as they got older or could be used in other areas of the house. In this case, the crib (and maybe the glider) is the only piece we will need to replace as he gets older!
In other news, so many of you have asked for direct and shoppable links, if you’re interested in a specific piece: Download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app to shop this pic via screenshot #firstname.lastname@example.org

Knowing so many who are currently affected by the Malibu area fires, I feel almost insensitive posting this shot. I’m in tears throughout the day and my prayers continue for all of you who are dealing with real life struggles and loss. Back to this photo here...for the past several days I’ve been feeling like I needed to do Spring (Fall) cleaning. Actually, editing, organizing, purging, in order to free my mind and space for the volume of client projects we are currently working on. Hence my art sale on stories yesterday and more dumpster filling with art today! So...here’s what was left after that great PURGE! This is the entry to my home studio. The other side of the room is also cleared for work!! And now my mind feels more clear for designing! .
