I love music! There’s always ‘that song’ or an album that will take me back to a stage of my life that will fill my heart with joy or remind me of some sadness I got over. I have a massively eclectic music collection, which I have in time inflicted upon my children. And I take no greater pleasure in Harper at 9 going to bed listening to David Bowie or Neil Diamond! And my daughter Sydney singing along to Céline Dion with me and enduring hours of Linkin Park!
If it makes you smile, cry, laugh, dance or helps vent some angst play it loud and proud! It’s okay! People might not get it but you just listen to your songs your way!! I have my funeral songs lined up yet could never pick a wedding song! Go figure!

I was soooooooo excited when @slavesofficial came out with this album in my birthday month, you have no idea! It was like a gift from the universe ☺️ One of my favorite bands! I still listen to this album (and previous albums) like it’s the first time and I get hooked all over again each time. @jonnycraig4l has quite the voice! I’m glad I found them on insta! #goodvibes#musicforthesoul#thankyou
The first thing i did when i started playing music with machines was to put together two of my favorite artists: @kristoferastrom and @boniver 😍 What i do now may sound better than back then, but this track means a lot to me. 🧢 Listen to it on the link in my bio 🐺
14 Frebruary 1920. The day that Fred Hagar of Okeh Records (New York City) was persuaded to record a black blues singer for the first time in history. He received threats from Southern and Northern pressure groups, but he did it anyway. Like this he entered into black recording history and the first woman to sing her heart into the horn was Mamie Smith with her song 'That Thing Called Love'
I'm worried in my mind
I'm worried all the time
My friend he told me today
That he was going away and stay
Now I love him deep down in my heart
But the best of friends must part
Now I want somebody please
To cure me of my love disease
That thing called love will make you sit and sigh
That thing called love that money cannot buy
Will make you sad
Will make you glad
Will even drive your mama mad
That thing called love has such a funny feelin'
That thing called love will set your brain a-reelin'
When you're alone, feeling blue
You're thinking 'bout someone that don't care for you
Then nobody knows what the thing called love will do
