“I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else's muse.
I am not a muse.
I am the somebody.
End of fucking story.”
Daisy Jones and The Six - 4 stars ✨
Welp, like everyone else who’s read this book, I also loved it! I don’t know how Reid does it, but she just finds this way of making me become so invested in her character’s drama! I basically can’t stop reading until I know how their story ends! Her writing is wonderful as always and the format she uses for this story works incredibly well! Also, the Fleetwood Mac feels are on point! .
I obviously became infatuated with Daisy Jones just like everyone in the book! She was such a complex and well written character! I loved her fire and her determination to get what she deserves. And the chemistry and drama between her and Billy was my favorite part of the book! I loved how everything turned out and I can’t wait to see how this story gets interpreted as a tv series! .
I will say that I liked Evelyn Hugo more and was way more attached to all the characters in that book but I still liked these characters. If you haven’t read this yet or Evelyn Hugo, go do it!!! You won’t be disappointed! The hype is real!
Book soundtrack for The Ruin of Kings! This was definitely high fantasy and took a bit of work to get through but boy it was definitely enjoyable and worth the trek. If you’ve finished the book, take a listen to the soundtrack I put together. Link in bio.

Omg I just deleted this post from Saturday and I can’t get it back. Whatever, repost it, here we go. 😭 📚📚 REPOST📚📚
Confession: I had zero interest in A Star is Born. Shallow was on my last nerve before it even one and Oscar. So you might think Daisy Jones and the Six would not be up my alley.
But here’s the thing: I was alive in the 70s. While I wasn’t hanging out on the Sunset strip, this book captures time and place in a really visceral way.
Taylor Jenkins Reid populates her version of 70s sex-drugs- and-rock ‘n’ roll-LA with people who may as well have been real. She doesn’t pit women against each other, despite the complicated relationship between wildly talented and beautifully broken protagonists, Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne. The whole scene is messy, ugly, beautiful, vulnerable…and impossible to look away from.
Would I have loved this book as much if I hadn’t listened to the audio first? I think so. Sure, the cast is bringing something unique to their performances (Judy Greer 4ever and ever), but I’m going back in hard copy to mark my favorite lines.
This is one to check out even if you think 70s rock is not your thing.
OMG...! Very excited to hold my own paperback book in my hands today. Fresh from the press.
Every author and musician knows that feeling. It all starts in your mind, as a random thought or idea like: "Yeah, would be cool to write a book..." ...to actually taking action, start writing it - and then FINISHING the mofo! ;) Available on Amazon:
