I was about to take a step when I noticed this “wood duck” lying on the ground... get it!? 😂🙌🏼
I know I’m not the only one who starts to “see” things when you spend that much time in the woods... right @krissyhayknox ?!

Shoutout to #outdoorthreadsbox for getting this months box out quick! Super stocked to see what is new next month! Also, shoutout to #mtnops for making SICK shirt!
After all the serious posts last couple days figured I should end it with some comedy before we leave again! Guess I couldn’t handle all the weight from Lacey’s sheep hiking back to camp. 😂 No damage to me. My @hoytbowhunting bow took the brunt of it. Bow is tough as hell some broken arrows and a bent sights though. Looks like I’ll be making a trip today into @fullcurlarchery for some new parts.
Here we go again. Teal time.
My buddy Jeff doesn’t have an Instagram so I wanted to sort of introduce him. He’s either in or around most of the images you see of mine. The epitome of a pal.
Known this fella since kindergarten. He’s been my best friend since we were 6 and was the best man in my wedding. Dude has been by my side and usually in whatever it was I was into throughout most of my life. He’s had influence on a lot of the decisions I’ve made and helped my habits of duckin’ for the last 10 years. Saturday we get to hunt together for the first time since February. Doesn’t matter what gets shot as long as it isn’t either of us. 😂 •
The Hunt Tough lifestyle is not just about being fit for the hunt. It's about overcoming any obstacles that might knock you down. The mental strain of failure, the pressure of the ones you are providing for, and the drive within you to succeed. I have learned this hunting season what Hunt Tough really is. And I'm going to apply it next season. So I'm going to lick my wounds so to speak and catch some Salmon in the mean time. #hunttough#gobeyond#mtnops#rakadx#hoyt#getserious#elk

Sorry it’s taken so long to post the pics of my guided sheep hunt. Been too busy telling the stories of Lacey’s amazing season. When you’re having a great year even the best moments in my guiding career get put on the back burner. Guiding for Big Game Backcountry Guides I had 2 very happy hunters. Doubling up on 2 of the biggest rams I have ever guided. Total team effort. Congrats guys. Y’all worked your tails off and deserved these rams! #neverstoppushing#guidelife#makingdreamscometrue

My hubby is home from work because he has a head cold. I left him upstairs with the dog, humidifier and two diffusers full of oils. I'm downstairs watching One tree Hill on Hulu with my oils, water and mtn ops grape ignite. At some point I will be getting in day 12 of 80 day obsession.
I grew up outside the city of Atlanta and moved to Alaska in 2009. Before meeting Lyn and living here I never even considered going hunting let alone eating game meat. I went from a non hunter to a hunter. From not eating game meat (not even wanting to try it) to harvesting my own. From going on personal hunts with Lyn to now teaming up on guided hunts and making dreams come true. I’ve come a long way. I can’t thank him enough for showing me this way of life and for being the best hunting partner I could ask for! Through experiences and time in the field I realized that it isn’t all about the kill. It’s a lot damn harder and not as easy as it seems. It’s about the challenge and pushing your limits. Being hundreds of miles from anyone else. Creating memories for a lifetime one adventure at a time! Now I don’t know what I would do without this life! #nomadlife#huntinglife#huntingisconservation@sixsitegear@gowildapp@mtnops
In order to do science in the ice, we have to make a hole with the ship. It doesn't matter how big, how perfect, or how calm the weather is; eventually the hole will collapse. Enjoy the good times, prepare for the bad. If things are bad, don't sweat, they won't last forever. Nothing does.
