self-doubt drowns the voice of your intuition (so i’m learning). doubt depletes us and disconnects us from our divinity. when i realize doubt is the voice of fear- i hold it with love, ask why it’s scared, and let it go. #quotesbykatbeck

Wishing a very hoppy Easter to everyone celebrating! 🐰🐥🌷
A late finish yesterday and no beaches here, meant that I needed a walk to wind down. We movement, rehab and soft tissue peeps need to look after ourselves too! It’s only taken me 20 years but I have now walked EVERY single street and for some reason yesterday after work, I decided to tackle the other unchartered perimeter. That wasn’t the plan after the last client left. 😳
Holy Week Devotional Dances🌷
Day 7 - Luke 24:5-7
“Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”
Prompt: Take a moment to breathe in resurrection. Inhale this wonderful announcement. Exhale your hallelujah. Allow truth to impact your body and simply worship with your dance in whatever way feels honest to you. He is risen!

🌟This phenomenon is still being studied and researchers still cannot pinpoint exactly how it works.
🌟Some hypotheses range from endorphin release to simply the fact that exercise can distract us from pain.
🌟The duration of pain reduction ranges in individuals depending on the type of exercise, exercise intensity, and other unknown factors.
🌟Fun fact: faster ultra-marathoners report less overall pain during an ultra-marathon than slower ultra-marathoners, likely due to them experiencing an amplified effect of this phenomenon.
🌟Obviously if you are experiencing pain or injury related to that specific exercise, it is recommended that you see a physical therapist before returning to that activity.

Movement is for every body!
Each of our bodies is incredibly designed for a life filled with movement - twisting, turning, crawling, walking, running, jumping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, throwing. 🏃🏾♂️🏃♀️🏋️♀️🧗🏿♂️🚵🏻♂️
We are designed with a means of locomotion, a traditional, linear, left-right-left-right approach to journeying from Point A to Point B. 🚶♂️
In addition to this our amazing structure of muscles and joints allows us to be more creative with our movements. It allowed us to outmaneuver predators and not become food - so here we are today. It allows us to be evasive, but also to be playful in our movements - to twist and turn and cartwheel and summersault. ⛹️💃🤸🏾♀️ It allows us to interact intimately with our environment and with the people and things in it. .
Movement is medicine. It promotes and impacts the health and function of so many of our body's systems. It promotes and allows for the healing and reparation of our body, mind and soul. It will never be recalled by the FDA!

Swiss ball works perfectly for practicing this position. Did give me a massive head rush though. Could be the position or could be the copious amounts of Easter chocolate and gin. 😵

Empowered women LIFT and also LIFT Each other Up👭👭👭 .
Join me and my team to #maketheworldlisten as we try to inspire other women to do the sport they love in the clothes they choose to wear. You can be a part of this #movement too as we pave way for women to break through judgement.
The middle splits are one of the best exercises to unlock your leg potential, to obtain such a skill time and patience is required, your body adapts to stimulus, give it to much to soon it will feel like putting your hand in a hot fire but give it enough time and consistency there will no longer be a disconnect, understanding the channels and the systems that govern the way we evolve in our skill sets will undoubtedly give us the upper hand in development.
What you see in this video took me 6 months to obtain, under a system that I developed with @empower_move_ment never having middle splits and starting of with tight adductors it was difficult to say the least, but sticking to the protocols we both achieved the desired goal.
Put in the required time to get what you want and know that it’s achievable.

We often overlook the obvious in fitness. We miss the root cause of the REAL issues we are trying to address. Mobility is a great example! Especially shoulder mobility. Many people realize lack of thoracic #mobility is an issue in proper shoulder movement. Yet, we fail to realize WHY the thoracic spine gets tight! Sure we say too much sitting but what happens when we sit too much? Yup, the #core shuts off, the question becomes how do we turn that core back on the fastest ways possible?
The answer lies in these 3 #DVRT exercises by two awesome coaches, @seanlettero and @janddfitness ! That is tension, not just any old tension but directed and purposeful tension with....LOAD! It is how we use the tension to not just wake up the #abs but connect the chains of the body. As Doug shares about our Ultimate #Sandbag Dead Bug but applies to all these #functionaltraining drills
Similar to the people I work with, I like to “feel” an exercise when I’m doing it. The deadbug is a benchmark core exercise. Using Ultimate #Sandbags and @perform_better miniband to provide feedback and link the thoracolumbar fascia improves this drill. Having the lats to fire by “ripping” the bag apart and the glutes and core to work against the miniband makes this old exercise a game changer. That’s giving people results!
