Making activity part of your life might be about exercise for some of us. I love going to the gym and I couldn’t really see my life without it. But for other people structured exercise isn’t really enjoyable and that’s ok. It doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy activity in general. It doesn’t mean you can’t be healthy. But if you don’t like formalised exercise how do you incorporate activity into your life? ⠀⠀ A lot of people forget that activity is just moving your body. That’s what your body is made to do. It isn’t designed to sit in a chair for hours. Get out and find ways to move that fit in with your hobbies, your likes and your lifestyle. ⠀⠀ Enjoy walking around the shopping centre on a weekend? Awesome that’s moving your body. ⠀⠀
Love doing arts and crafts projects in your spare time? You might not be power walking while you’re painting but you’re still moving your body.
Prefer to have a fun game of tennis rather than a PT session every week? Go for it - you’re enjoying moving your body. ⠀⠀
Getting active doesn’t have to be structured or goal oriented or intense for it to benefit you. You just have to enjoy it and do it regularly. Focus on the aspects of activity you like and you’re more likely to find them being a daily habit rather than a chore.
Could you go to Walmart and get me a picture frame? That's what my wife asked me. Like an idiot...I said sure, not realizing its bloody packed with Christmas shopping!!! Now how the hell do i get out of here.

Day 3 - Move Your Body! 🕺
Notice I didn’t say “exercise”? 😋people often feel that exercise is a chore or something they SHOULD do. 🏋️♂️📝✅ The truth is that ANY movement is good and the more variety and more enjoyable, the better! 🤗👍 Here are some ideas: - hike 🏃♀️bike 🚲 ski ⛷🎿 skate ⛸snowboard 🏂, sled 🛷 swim 🏊♀️ - build a snowman ⛄️ or have a snowball fight ❄️ - spontaneous dance party 👯💃🕺
- take the stairs, park further from destination, office/desk stretches
- random play (with kids or pets) 🏇🐶🐯🐴👧👶🧒
- squat or push up challenge - vigorous cleaning 😒🙄 The point is any kind of movement is good movement. Aim to accumulate 30 minutes of moderate exercise/day (a.k.a. breathe a little bit heavier) and reap the benefits on your mind, mood and body. (Not to mention your waist line) 🤫😉

Yesterday, several people commented on my #unshoes sandals. Maybe because it was cold and snowy but probably because they are so cute. Today I wore my new #unshoes moccasins. Again with the compliments. People- winter wear doesn’t have to be bulky, heavy, and stiff. #moveit all year round! .
Saturday Pep Talk Sistas 🤔
Do you realise how many wonderful things our bodies can do ? How many different games we can play, experiences we can have, how many housework chores we can do lol 😝
Exercise keeps us moving, keeps us healthy, keeps us being able to do everyday tasks.
I love it when clients mention that they can now go up stairs better or get on the floor easier or simply just move more because they have been training.
And don’t forget to add feeling better too 👊
If you see exercise as a punishment you are not going to want to do any.
See exercise as a wonderful thing that helps you be healthy and enjoy life and tick those items off your ‘want to do’ list ✅.
GET OUT THERE AND MOVE SISTAS 👊
