The rest of my record haul from @thehaberdashery this weekend. Part of the fun of a $3 record sale is that you'll pick up stuff by artists that you might never check out otherwise.
I personally feel like it's hard to find a bad album that was recorded live at the Fillmore, and this Humble Pie performance doesn't disappoint. Much like Manfred Mann, I don't own anything else by Humble Pie, but I'll probably go back to do some crate digging for more. Album recommendations welcome!
The More American Graffiti soundtrack has some great tunes on it. Sequencer is part of a series of solo synthesizer records by Larry Fast, with an A-side filled with wankery but a solid atmospheric B-side - "...and still no guitars!" And of course, how could I pass up Dead or Alive's greatest hits megamix album, Rip It Up.
This shot from #MoreAmericanGraffiti blows my mind. Think about the Phantom Menace pod race sequence. I’d have gone all out and painted drag racing cars green and gone out into Nevada and shot the racing on location for realism. This movie has some amazing practical effects shots. Like the chopper crash in ‘Nam.
