It’s been a long weekend working it all & bank holiday Monday work! People say I’m crazy to work weekends and bank holidays. I see it as extra days to earn some money £££. It’s been a fun weekend on the scaffold with the lads in the sun, so can’t complain! Always on the grind & hustle to a better future!
Tomorrow, Tuesday April 23rd, The Active Mobility Chiropractic team including Dr. Werbelow and rehab trainers Gina, Nicole and Heather along with our front office staff, Jo (the referree) and Jacqui will be on the main field at Lake taking the kids through a fun obstacle course.
All to support Lake Elementery’s Health and Fitness Week.

Today, April 22nd is EARTH DAY!
What are ways that you help out our #earth ? I’ve been trying my best to be more conscious of the products I use. I’ve started to recycle cans & im looking to recycle SO much more with time. I’ve switched my cleaning products to chemical free, plant based products. I use reusable grocery bags & cut back on bottled water & I started using metal straws. •
My goals for assisting our Earth this year are, purchasing reusable zip lock bags, keeping metal/silicone straws, and recycling more than just cans! •
Becoming more aware of the “one time use” items I have in my house and ditching & switching has reduced the amount of waste and trash bags that I use!

While I’m at it, I want to briefly talk fitness while pregnant. Here’s the thing ladies... there are a LOT of double standards when it comes to pregnancy and fitness. I’ve had one medical expert tell me not to do _____ and then at the next appointment was told by someone else it’s totally fine for me to do said thing... So, here’s the deal, after a lot of research and a few continuing education courses, the best advice (as long as you got the approval from your doctor!!) is that you need to listen to YOUR body!! Just because one person can do something while pregnant, does not mean it’s appropriate for you to do it.
I was just talking to a few friends about why I purposely don’t post a lot of pregnancy pictures/videos. Why? Because while I’m SO grateful to have had two healthy pregnancies where I was able to continue to teach and move, I never want anyone to say “well if she can do it, so can I!” because maybe it’s not safe for them. Yes I love seeing pregnant woman rock out, kick @$& and stay strong during pregnancy- there’s something so motivating and powerful about it!! But no, I don’t ever want anyone to think that just because you see a picture or video of a pregnant woman running a marathon, Olympic weightlifting, cycling, or pounding the $#!+ out of the floor, that it’s appropriate for everyone to do it.
So cheers to you ladies!! We’re all absolutely amazing in our own ways. Keep your head up, chin high, attitude strong, and do what is best for YOU!
