One of the things about being a small business owner is finding time for yourself. Making sure that not every moment of your day is spent in front of the laptop screen, phone or in meetings. As a mom boss, you take on the role as your own employer, and you can be so tough on yourself. It’s important for me to still do the things I love and spend time with my family. That’s how I know I will still look at See Me Grow with love and not resent the time it takes. #momboss
"My husband hates horror movies.
I love them.
My husband is mathematically gifted.
I go into panic at the mere sight of numbers.
My husband has to ask me about spelling because he struggles.
I love sport.
My husband doesn’t even particularly like walking.
I hardly eat meat.
My husband is a carnivore.
My husband likes to go to bed late and he suffers terribly with insomnia... I like to go to bed early and I (mostly) find it easy to fall asleep (and I was NEVER sleep trained *collective gasp*). My firstborn is a very fussy eater.
My secondborn will eat anything put in front of her.
My firstborn would always go down to sleep in a cot at night from the moment he was born.
My second would only ever sleep on my chest for the first 15 months of her life.
Your friend’s baby isn’t good for sleeping through the night.
Your baby isn’t bad for not sleeping through the night.
Your baby isn’t manipulating you by wanting to be close to you.
Babies NEED that closeness.
And some NEED it more than others.
Adults are all so vastly different across all walks of life....
So why should our babies be any different?
And WHY would we even entertain the idea that the same wouldn’t apply for sleep patterns???? But most importantly, you did not get unlucky for having a baby who wakes frequently.
Babies waking at night hold a far more complex purpose than society’s skewed belief that it is only to inconvenience a mother.
It’s biologically NORMAL for them to want to be close to you.
And it really needn’t be more complicated than that."

Such a sweet moment and capture amongst all of the chaos that having toddlers close in age brings to the table. Elly Ryan (the older one, she turned 3 last Saturday) has trouble sharing her toys and attention some moments, but she is gradually getting better. It’s difficult when you think everything is yours then all of the sudden have a little sister you have to share it all with. Of course, at their ages they don’t understand the gift that I see. This afternoon Kalysta had Elly laughing so hard then this evening Ell got Kal laughing before bedtime. For her 3rd birthday one of Elliyanah’s little presents was this Peppa Pig towel she’s happily wearing. She had been obsessed with being wrapped up in a towel and carried after her bath for quite some time. I am beginning to have to explain that “I’m a small mommy” and I can’t pick her up as much as I used to. I make time for cuddles and to goof off as well as allowing her to be silly while I embrace her craziness. Our emotional attachment with our children will be something they carry with them for ALL of their lives. Let’s be sure they are on the right track for success. Between all of the grabbing toys out of each other’s hands and screaming over one of one hundred toys- moments like these make every stress beyond worth it 💖✨ Kalysta is also starting to give hugs and kisses voluntarily. This is one of the first memories captured of her standing up and walking the two steps across the couch for a hug and kiss!! We couldn’t believe it 🐣🐥 #mustbedoingsomethingright#dreamcometrue#sisters#timeslowdown#missingone#sisterlyove#family#motherhood#fatherhood#toddlermom#parenthood#mommylife#girlmom#proudmama#leadbyexample#mommyblogger#motherhood#ohheymama#toddlersofinstagram#toddlerlife#momsofinstagram#girlmom#proudmomma#proudmommy#daughters#momlifeisthebestlife
I love seeing the wonder in my daughters eyes. She is experiencing everything for the first time and I take those experiences for granted. Gotta enjoy the little moments because one day she’ll take it all for granted too 😂 💕
YALL, I got an at-home gel peel and could not wait to try it! Who has tried a professional peel?? They're great, but dang, they're expensive AF. I've used this glycolic acid gel peel from @yeouthskincare a handful of times now and I am love it! Even after a few times I am seeing less blackheads and smoother skin. For realz.
I know I keep telling you about @yeouthskincare , BUT it's worth it because NOW I have a 20% off discount code for all of you! (And the crowd goes wild. 👏👏👏👏👏) Just use SOCIAL20 when you checkout. #yourewelcome BTW, that would make this peel only $20!
And, if you're still reading here's some info on this peel that you may wanna know... It exfoliates dead skin cells which smooths out fine lines and wrinkles. It also stimulates collagen, hydrates skin and reduces oil. This is safe (and good) for sensitive skin. It is not the same as a professional chemical peel (which should only be done by a professional). However, it is highly effective and I recommend adding it to your skincare routine once or twice a week!
Happy National Love your Pet day 🐶🐱🐹🐰
Our doggies usually can’t be within 2 feet of each other without fighting 🤣🤣🤣 unless they are patiently waiting for crumbs to drop!!
Do you have any pets? What kind?
January Allure box is one of the best! I ❤️ when it has such amazing products but the customer service sucks! Even ordering from Amazon is a hassle.. I ordered 3 bags and just 1 arrived in February!! Disappointed with customer service but the products are just amazing!
Did you get this bag and love the products?

What are those Small things that we expect from our family after embracing Motherhood??
For me: 👇🏻👇🏻
1) I want to be asked that are you ok? Do you want to take a short break from mommying?? Once in a while..
2) Someone to pat my back and say that dont worry you are doing a great job with her.
3) Someone to sit with me and just listen to all my mommy troubles and issues without being judgemental..
4) Someone to take me out once in a while without any mommy duties along..
5) Someone to appreciate my ways of parenting, even if thats not what they would have done..
Small things makes a big difference.. Appreciation, motivation, comfort talks, all these small steps helps prevent PPD in moms and also keeps them together and sane ❤️❤️.. What do you moms expect from your family??
today was full of sunshine so I took my little bear out for a quick walk... she slept through it all but at least we got some vitamin d + fresh air! .
being self employed and having a baby can be hard to juggle. here in Canada women get a full year for maternity leave, I unfortunately don’t have that luxury. so today I was back to work with two client meetings. they didn’t last long so it’s not too much time away from my baby girl but when I came home I just wanted to snuggle her right up. each time I leave her I can’t wait to get back ✨

Just booked a staycation in San Diego for my birthday month and I’m praying that it isn’t the frozen tundra when we go. This Cali winter has been cray and I need ☀️in my life!
I got an amazing deal and saved over $300 for a weekend stay through @jifutravel. 🙌🏼 We officially launched to the public so for those of you that have been on my waitlist for a buddy pass, I started to send them out last night and will be sending the rest out tonight! 🤗 And if you’re wondering what JIFU is all about, they’re a wholesale travel club that offers wholesale pricing for all things travel. You would book through them just like you would through any other discount travel site, except they don’t mark up their prices so they’re basically making travel way more affordable for everyone! Let me know if you want a buddy pass, which will give you access to the site for free for 6 months, and you can check out all the fun deals! ✈️ #jifutravel

[ad] Anyone have experience parenting a 16-year-old and a newborn at the same time? Ava walked in on me watching A Million Little Things the other morning and has now decided she needs purple hair. NEEDS it. #2goingon16
No teenager (or threenager) experience over here but one thing I do have experience with is being a newborn mama and this time around, our registry was far easier (and much shorter) than the first time. So over on the blog today I’ve got a short and sweet BABY REGISTRY MUST HAVE list... like the stuff you actually need and not those 347 item lists you see all over Pinterest 🤦🏼♀️ .
PS Let me know if I forgot anything! Pretty please? Okay thanks 😘 #BabySavingsDays

QUESTION: when you are traveling, what type of research do you do about where you are going? Do you look for things to do, places to go, where to eat, what is kid-friendly? Do you watch videos, search blogs, search Pinterest? Traveling with a child is much different than it was when I was single and not a mother. It seems that being prepared is more important now than ever! Would you agree? •
Ps. I just posted a new blog post about lake life in Arizona! If you are interested in floating the salt river (which you should!) or just taking the scenic route to see the beauty Arizona has to offer when you inevitably come to visit (because it IS the best state ever 😜) I suggest you take a look!
