📽 @reggiecmah - "Can someone tell me how this is OKAY... you have a VPD officer teaching another officer that clearly doesn’t have proper training, yet they are allowed to issue “tickets and inspection notices” on vehicles when they don’t even know the components and how they work on a vehicle. We as car enthusiasts know a general sense of the regulations and for the most part we do follow them. I understand tickets will be issued when people do not meet the regulations but what is concerning is if all these officers even know themselves what the regulations are in the CVSE handbook which is what provincial inspectors use. There have been many cases now where drivers get issues these vehicle inspection notice and orders to get their vehicle inspected at ICBC inspection facilities, pay the inspection fees plus whatever it cost to get their vehicle to meet regulations and pass yet they will get pulled over again and officers saying they “failed to comply” followed by issuing more tickets and another inspection with zero ability to be disputed in court... I personally respect officers and have many friends that are trying to apply to be policemen but we need to make sure they are trained for their field / division. Another thing to keep in mind as well there is a huge number of cases now where people weren’t breaking any traffic violations to get pulled over, rather just driving like another other citizen. There was also a incident posted a while back where cops issued tickets while the owners weren’t even driving. Cars were parked and people were doing a photoshoot."
