I might be biased, but the ocean brings a room together so beautifully!
Living in San Diego this space speaks deeply to me. Having grown up in the tropics of Hawaii the idea of the desert running right up to the Pacific Ocean was so foreign to me. And here I am in San Diego where the environment does just that. And as a result it inspires beautiful interior spaces like this one!
How do you draw inspiration from your environment to adorn your home?
My first series is finished. I seem to have become a bit better at mixing acrylic (it's harder than mixing any other paints) and color compatibility. Yes, all colors were inspired by minerals, hence the names of the paintings.
All 3 paintings are now available for purchase!

Все явки и пароли здесь @mensura_zoili.art
I spent most of 2018 in an abusive relationship with myself.
When my body said stop, you’re in pain, Leah! I ignored it. When I was feeling down instead of trying to lift myself up, I would wallow in misery.
Although I’m still in pain and dealing with my neck injury, I’m no longer treating myself poorly. When I am in pain I stop immediately. When I want to binge eat because I’m stressed I tell myself no, it’s just a distraction from the real issue at hand. Pain.
I learned a huge lesson in 2018. Although my career absolutely took off, I allowed my personal routine and self care fall between the cracks. I put my work before my friends and family at times
I love Instagram because I can take you with me on my journey as a fine artist, I hope we can achieve a new healthy balance together in 2019. In 2018 I put my career first at all costs, which is unhealthy. I need to take better care of myself this upcoming year.

#JennySaville is a contemporary British painter whose stylized nude portraits of voluminous female bodies have brought her international acclaim. Among her best-known works, is the large-scale self-portrait Branded (1992), in which the artist distorts her own torso and breasts through painting, making both body parts pendulous and imposing. Saville’s luscious yet grotesque treatment of painted bodies have elicited comparisons to #LucianFreud. “I paint flesh because I’m human,” she has said. “If you work in oil, as I do, it comes naturally. Flesh is just the most beautiful thing to paint.”
