Why you should arch when doing Bench Press ??!!
YES, you NEED to arch, and I don’t care whether you’re against this statement or not, because if you are .. chances are you’re mistaking the “Right Way" to arch, with the “Wrong One”.
Implementing an Upper Back Arch ( Thoracic Extension ) when bench pressing ensures 3 very important things, as you can see from the drawings:
1) Safety : By locking your shoulder blades back together and holding them there for the whole movement, you’re preventing yourself from getting injured in the shoulders/tendons areas because the arch allows the shoulders not to internally rotate during the execution of the movement.
2) Stability : Arching your upper back creates a strong “base” or muscle shelf where you can rest on, pushing your muscles against the pad. Glutes stay GLUED to the bench, and so do your feet.
3) Strength : this is simply the strongest way to bench press. If you don't get injured you're also more likey to continue to perform the exercise for more time. - This means getting stronger and being able to lift more weight too, obviously. By doing it correctly, you’re also able to load the exercise very heavy, therefore finally allowing yourself to build a strong and aesthetic chest.
Do you ever feel that burning session in your shoulders when you fight ?🤔🔥
Lactate buffering training will help you deal with this. •
What we are doing here is getting a lot of lactic acid in the shoulders by using the battleropes, we then immediately go into what’s known as lactate retention , essentially this means we are keeping the lactic acid in the shoulders and it starts to build up ... a lot 🔥🔥🔥. Over time your body is able to “buffer” or flush out this lactic more efficiently. @scotty_boomboom

Just slip & move
Feels good getting back in shape, getting lose, and being a student of the game. Gotta be diligent, gotta be consistent, gotta get uncomfortable sometimes... #BDE

Another angle from the other day.
Usually never satisfied with myself. But happy to be able to go fast and keep everything fairly neat. That last DU crossover being the only exception haha.
Not all of us have access to the best gyms, equipment, or coaches but we can all train hard, maximize each of our moments and have the best day ever.
Here’s a drill to train at home.
•30 Seconds Long-range
•30 Seconds Midrange
•30 Seconds Inside
