Anytime Fitness is raising money for the Hope Starts Here Food Bank. "The Hope starts here food banks started as a means to feed families in need in the South Denver Metro area. We started with just a handful of families coming for food, growing to our current size of feeding between 400-500 families a week! We hope to grow to support the ever-increasing amount of families in need, and ultimately to provide them with hope." Please Donate any non-perishable food items into the bag here at Anytime Fitness Aurora, Colorado and we will hand deliver them to Hope Starts Here to help as many families as we can.
Thank you for your support this holiday season! 🤲

Self-care + self-love look different to everyone.
Baths, massages, indulging our sweet tooth, you know the usual drill.
But someone recently wrote something that hit a cord in me, about investing in ourselves.
They used the example of a car. Think about it- when our car breaks down, we rush and run to its aid, shelling out however much money we need to repair it so we can go on about our lives and have this vehicle that’s able to take us to point A to be point B.
Now I’m someone who’s learned early on that our car often spiritually represents our physical vehicle- our bodies.
We take our car in for service to keep it in tip top shape...until it breaks down again or whatever may have you.
But what about our body and our own health? Most of us pay no mind until we experience symptoms. Sure we try and eat healthy, workout, and load up on the supplements, but preventative care goes so much deeper!
We don’t think we need a healer or a coach because maybe “nothing’s wrong” and we attach a stereotype to it, but then when something comes undone in our lives, like a broken down car, illness or injury, a breakup or divorce, we’re left without the knowledge + the internal tools we need to easily do what needs to be done with grace and ease...when really, it may not have happened in the first place if we began the inner work and invested in our own selves. Know what I’m sayin’? When we take the time and make the effort to invest in ourselves NOW, which is the only time we’re manifesting the future (hopefully the future you desire), you are investing in long-term healthy mind, body, and soul for yourself, the collective, and future generations. That’s how deep this stuff goes and most of us are completely unaware!
I’d love to support you in taking the initiative in fully immersing yourself in self-love, healing, and empowerment! If this resonates with you, DM me or comment below with anything that could use a shift in your life!

Better day. Thankful for popping into a Bible study at my sisters with some of my best girlfriends. We’ve all been together through thick and thin. Nothing like remembering you’re not alone in your sorrows and being there to comfort others too. Needed some of that living water! God’s got me. Having my soul and heart refreshed I went into this workout with gratitude and joy. Amazing what a little perspective shift will do.
I am proud to say I am on Week 3 of Spartan Bootcamp Training!!!
This step up contraption I put together is 8 square blocks high and wasn’t the most stable but I pushed through anyway, and that’s an 18 lb medicine ball I’m holding! Had to be careful cause I was right up in those rafters lol. .
Thankful to be passed last night. ❤️
Week 3, Day 1:
Band resistance burpee x 12
Box step-up w/Slam Ball resistance x 12 (6 each leg)
Slam Ball slam x 12
Band resistance Box step-up x 12 (6 each leg)
This completes 1 round.
Continue repeating but drop all reps down to 10/8/6/4 for remaining 4 rounds.
*Total 160 reps
A few months after my son was born, a friend of mine said:
I bet you’ll paint a lot as you heal from your birth experience.
I choked up a bit, because:
I didn’t feel one creative spark in me at all.
All I was feeling was the need for sleep and a bath.
We’ve all experienced this feeling. Life happens and swoops us into the routine. Our creative endeavors get put to another day.
The thing with motherhood, often, is that we give constantly to others. It’s what makes mothering so magnificent — our reserves seem endless in giving, giving, giving.
But then, something starts to feel off once the changes of life settle down. That could be 3 months postpartum, or for many, once our children leave the home.
What happens to our creativity as we mother?
First of all, I don’t think it vanishes. Like all energy, it transforms.
It becomes how we can read the same story 100 times and not completely lose it.
It’s the space we hold for our spouse as they find their path as a parent.
It’s the tears we let roll when our child closes the door and tells us to go away.
I’m in the midst of doing some research on our struggles with creativity. It’s been a big endeavor – from being a non-mom and thinking “oh, if we just align our thoughts, creativity will flow” to…well, being here. Curious, unsure, applying the cycles of life to creativity and
realizing that the way we create is as unique as our fingerprint.
I’m doing research on the struggles we experience with creativity. If you want to be part of this survey, I’ll send you a gift: a lesson from my Soul Cycle digital course.
You don’t have to be a mama to participate. You just need to have some type of relationship to creativity – whether it’s full blown career as a creative or seeking to rekindle a childhood desire.
The link to this survey is in my profile @rosecandela. If you think anyone else would benefit from boons of this study, informing all my future offerings and writings, please share along (a free gift will be emailed to all who take time to participate).
you want to stop obsessing about everything you eat, right?
you want to stop labeling food as “good” or “bad” and stop feeling guilty as fuck after making certain food choices. you want to stop eating your emotions, restricting, binging, and feeling discouraged in your body....you just want to feel normal and at peace with food
dealing with diet mindset is hard and confusing and frustrating as all hell. i know that because i was consumed by it for majority of my life and sometimes i still find it creeping back in and i know how easy it is to turn to another dieting thinking that’s the answer, but im here to tell you it’s not
what you need is to be able eat what your body is asking for whether that be a cookie or kale, to drop the labels and kick dieting to the curb, to tune into your body signals and hunger cues, to honor your health, and to eat a meal until you are satisfied and then stop when you’re done. you need clarity. you need ease. you need freedom.
making the transition to intuitive eating can be big and scary when you’re so used to living within the boundaries of a diet...i get it. that’s why i included a 12 step method to food freedom in my 1:1 free yourself coaching program. link in bio💕
Meep. I want to be transparent in this journey w/fitness & life. We see a lot of “perfect” highlight reels where all of the not so perfect things are left out-which can be so discouraging to some. Making ppl think they can never be or get to where they want. My hope is that by sharing any struggles that I may endure will help at least someone else get through it or maybe even multiple people. 🤷🏼♀️ I have been open before about struggling with anxiety-which was at its worst point post partum. I tried several different ways to cope with it & even got to the point where my doctor prescribed me medication-which I tried, but I also quickly found that I absolutely did not like it. And to be honest, I didn’t like the idea of having to rely on a medication to “fix” me. I hated the way it made me feel, it just all around was not good for me. So I tapered off and refused to even try any other types. Not saying that it’s not ok for you, it’s just my personal choice. Instead I found diff ways to cope, mainly the gym was my savior. Still is. With time it started to calm down tremendously and I figured I could just deal with that. Fast forward to about the past couple of months & I started finding myself having these weird “breathing” things happen. Hard to describe. I’d suddenly feel like I was struggling to breath “normal”. Then I thought something might be seriously wrong so that really worried me. I’d wake up several times gasping for air....almost felt like I was holding my breath in my sleep? But then I decided to look into it more when the worst happened which was having a full blown panic attack DRIVING-I didn’t know what was happening. I thought something was really wrong. Good news is that I made it home and was finally starting to slowly feel ok. After eventually going to the doctors and getting checked over, it was confirmed that I was ok/wasn’t going to die and I def had a panic attack. Weird thing is that I had pretty much no anxiety that day so I was so confused to why that would happen. They can literally come out of nowhere and be out of our control. Bless your heart if you’re still reading. I’m sorry this is so long....cont into comments....

There are moments in which you may encounter something that you dream of for yourself. An idol or someone who is really successful in doing what you want to do. In these moments you shall not think to yourself: "Man I wish I would be able to do this, but I m not because ___". Instead use these moments to find inspiration and enthusiasm to keep going for it. Appreciate the reminder to keep pursuing your dreams - To be authentic with yourself.
Wow. Today has been a tough one for me. Woke up that way. Just could not get out of my head all morning. Spinning that hamster wheel of negative thoughts.
I decided I NEEDed to take off by myself for a bit. Grabbed a latte and headed for the beach. Being ALONE with the sound of the waves and the fresh breeze really helped. Of course, I didn’t walk away feeling 100% better but I walked away feeling calmer and more accepting of myself, today. Allowing myself to just have “one of those days”. Was it the acceptance of ones self or the ocean air that made me feel calmer? Perhaps a bit of both. #mindbodysoul#anxiety#justbe#runwildmychild#gabriolaisland#oceanbeach
The grass is changing color. The leaves have fallen. The sun is setting early and everyone is excited for the holidays. Which means it’s time for seasonal depression. The thing is I know I deal with it. So I can do something about it. I make sure I’m getting enough vitamin D and it radically affects my mental health. If you struggle with depression. You’re not weird. You’re not alone. Know it’s a reality for you and take steps to make it bearable. The more you take care of you the more you can take care of those around you. #mindbodysoul#selfcarematters#setyourselfuptobeeffective

Not every single meal ends up being one we make with our own two hands. Food is such a social thing; we go out for breakfasts, lunches and dinners daily, which can sometimes feel like a challenge when trying to live a healthier lifestyle, as we may not know each ingredient in what we’re eating. This can cause anxiety in some people, or can slightly affect progress without even intending to. When going out for a meal, portions are key — remember you can have things in moderation for sure!
Watch out for high sodium — foods that are not fresh and produced in mass quantities can be higher in sodium, which can cause that bloating or overly full feeling immediately, or especially the next day. Don’t panic! Some healthier chain restaurants have all nutrition facts listed, while many restaurants do not. Soups can be higher in sodium, so if you aren’t sure, ordering a side salad instead can be a better option!
Enjoy these special moments out with people you love. Don’t stress too much, there is almost ALWAYS a decision you can make that will fit your lifestyle in order to reach those goals ⭐️

Clearly visualize yourself achieving your dreams. Block out negative messaging or images. Remain tenacious and challenge yourself to be bold, be fearless, and break out of the box you put yourself in. The only thing in your way is you. Everything else you can learn to live without and still be great.
The year is 1987. I’ve been doing fitness videos in my living room for decades. Some of my favorites over the years include Buns of Steel, Jane Fonda’s workouts and my beloved Reebok Step workouts. Who’s with me?!
In fact, this oldie but goodie of me and my mom working out is priceless. She’s smiling and laughing with her awesome sweet energy, and well, I’m a teenager. ;)
The truth is, I’ve always been a push the sofa back and bust a sweat type of gal, which is why I recently shared my friend @erin.stutland's Say It, Sweat It, Get It challenge.
I hope you joined me for the challenge—it was ah-mazing. I always want more because her motivation and teachings keep me saying “YES!” Yes to the flood of endorphins. Yes to the satisfying sweat!
If you’re ready for more fun and inspiring exercise, check out her Shrink Session program. I've been using it for years because Erin has found a way to not only lift my booty, but also my spirit.
