Halfway through the beautiful mess that is 1846. After the rules burden was lifted, we were completely engrossed. At the moment, Jess is trying to keep her precious PRR afloat after a slow start, while RJ continues to juggle presidency of three corportations from the get-go. The looming threat, however, is obsolescence of his trains, whereas Jess is poised to carry forward unfettered now that a direct line to Chicago has opened for her. As fans of economic games, we were naturally predisposed to enjoying this, but we didn't expect it to be THIS good! It's easy to see how each game's narrative will unfold differently, and that's not even taking more players into account. We hope to resume our match tomorrow, but here's to checking this off our gaming bucket list, and to further exploration of this fantastic system.
Ok so I know this seems like a really obvious answer for most people, but I already did a West v East post and there’s no where else left. Also, I know some people really don’t like the Midwest sound or they really prefer the South sound. So which do you prefer, Midwest or the South?
I still can’t believe that I have been kissing these cheeks for 364 days. Holding on extra long to my babe tonight, because tomorrow you will be a whole year! ❤️

Someone today didn’t believe me when I told them our small town school really excused family hunting trips. Yes, our brothers got excused from school every November to go hunting opening weekend with our dad. It was totally the norm then, and now we totally laugh about it, and all we can say is...it’s so Midwesty!
The new Midwesty is here! And the spruce green is perfect to pair with your favorite red flannel. I’m looking like a Merry Midwest Girl don’t ya think?!
Double tap if opening weekend was a holiday in your Midwest small town!
