Absolutely massive disparity between the great songs and the yawnfest floppers. And no surprise here that all the good songs are the fasties. Why the hell did so many bands feel tempted to plod around in boring mid-paced mediocrity when they were clearly capable of higher levels of badassery like the classic burner 'In The Fallout'? Oh, and dumbest monster face ever. I'd punch that shit.
Just another incredible single/ep from my ultimate masters of German Metal. Imagine writing an album as great as Secrets In A Weird World and trying to pick a single amongst all those hits. Invisible Horizons had a big job to do representing so much greatness, but it did it well. And then just having an absolute epic like Lost Side Of The World as a throw away b-side? Damn. '89 Rage were literally just dripping with insane material.
Kicking off day two of a hardcore Acid binge thanks to @motorheadbanger3726 post yesterday. Acid to me adds to the strength of the argument that the bands true of heart, with an ironclad formula and plan of attack but lacking a little in the talent department will always trump those false of faith that trick people into loving them with their fancy frills and showboating. I've always said the best bands have a clear vision that requires nothing but a real bad attitude and true heart to execute. Acid is 100% just that.
Insane score today. Never even knew this "official bootleg" of one of my favorite albums existed. Even better is the reworked artwork is actually super killer and they didn't just settle for some bullshit CG scene that looks like some fat bad boy made it in computer animation class. Watch out for the drums on this one. Igor plays like his usual frantically maniacal self, but this rough mix makes it stand out hard. The snare feels like a left hook every time.
