Ball mastery drills are fantastic for all players! They work on so many key areas. Here are some of those areas
1) getting many different types of touches on the ball is important for any players development. This will develop muscle memory that is going to allow you to touch the ball confidently in that way in matches. For ball mastery, this typically means the inside, outside, and soles of both of your feet! 🥾⚽️ 2) many of the touches you will be learning will be skills in and of themselves, or will help start building the foundation for other skill moves. Inside taps for example will help you to start learning la croqueta.
3) these drills will also help with the quickness of your feet. Even if you can do the movement, you want to work on doing it faster each time. This will make it very difficult for any defender to take the ball off you and help with performing skill moves faster!
