Cleo and I decided to head out and play in the snow a couple weeks ago after that weird storm we had. While rummaging through this bush a very angry bird came flying out at full force, Cleo hot on its tail. She actually almost got it, but then the bird proceeded to scold us from a branch up high. Probably deserved.
The black church of Budir, on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Weirdly this church isn’t in the village of Hellnar down the road with several black homes!
This black church really draws the eye in person, with the landscape to the left hiding the glacier Snæfellsjökull and it’s mountain neighbours, and interesting volcanic formations covered with moss and alien grasses to the other side. Leading to the shore littered with seals and birds.
Snaefellsnes is seriously an “iceland in miniature” and well worth a visit!
Have you ever been to Iceland? 🇮🇸
