Awhile back we were in need of a media console, and I had planned on builging something very simple. When I happened upon this piece of walnut I decided I needed to up the complexity a bit in order to do it justice. Is it a little rough around the edges? Sure. But it was one of my first pieces of furniture and I still love how it looks. That's a win in my book.
Pleased to offer this more compact version of a classic design by #stanleyfurniture. Two stackable units in walnut, the bottom featuring three dovetailed drawers on well-proportioned squared legs with nickel feet mimicking hardware. Top has sliding door shelving options with cast iron base. Separate to create two separate functional pieces or leave as is. Excellent vintage condition now available at repopny.com. Link in bio. Measures 36” X 18” X 70.5” #midcenturyunit#midcenturycabinet#anatomyofashop
Ruhunu, anneannelerimizin huzurlu ve sıcak evlerinden alan Retro koleksiyonu, mutlu zamanların yaşanmışlığını sade çizgisiyle yansıtıyor. 🌵

Cabinet door no. 2 is framed and in the clamp. 💥
I’m glad this is done. Remember how I said I often screw up miter cuts? This time was no exception. I cut one bass-ackwards and had to make up another frame piece 🤦🏻♀️ 🤷🏻♀️ Then there’s my stress level when gluing up the miters...let’s just say that the sound is off so you don’t hear me mumbling “F%* #...F%* #...
Fu€*ity.. F%* #” the entire clip. 😃
Inspired by this stunning media console, look 👀 at all those perfectly matched details. 💡

Pre-finishing a few pieces prior to the glue up... parts of the sliding door will be inaccessible after glue up, so I need to finish the door and the track areas ahead of time. This was a build mostly using my scrap pile- lots of offcuts and pieces with tons of sapwood. The nature of this build allows me to effectively use these in places that will never be visible- deep inside the back portions of a case that will be pressed up against a wall. You can see one of the spots where I had a piece that was just a smidge too short... no problem... just extend the board a bit, haha. It’s still more than strong enough, and the seam on the end result- once assembled- will never be seen by anyone. Good enough! #walnutfurniture#mediaconsole#woodworking#bespokefurniture

Another media console ready to be packed and shipped to a customer in South Dakota.
Between the sickness and my excitement over curtains (see my story highlights), I forgot to share that I finally finished the tutorial for my DIY sliding barn door console table. While it’s not the quickest build, it’s actually very simple to make! I share all about the modifications I made to @anawhitediy’s free plans, including the exact hardware I used. (Super inexpensive from Amazon!! I know! 🎉🙌🏻) Get your build on, ladies!! .
I also linked to the hardware, baskets & more here —->>> , or just click on “shop my Instagram” via the link in my profile. #firstname.lastname@example.org#LTKhome#LTKstyletip@liketoknow.it.home#ltkunder50#ltkunder100
