Tulum (Spanish pronunciation: [tuˈlum], Yucatec: Tulu'um) is the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city which served as a major port for Coba, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The ruins are situated on 12-meter (39 ft) tall cliffs along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Seain the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya; it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. Old World diseases brought by the Spanish settlers appear to have resulted in very high fatalities, disrupting the society and eventually causing the city to be abandoned. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for tourists.

All around another great day. Did not encounter serpents in the jungle, more beautiful pyramids at #muyilruins , survived swimming in Cenote Manati / Casa Cenote despite there being a freaking crocodile I was not informed of until already in the water (big brothers for you), snorkeling in and under the mangroves around the cenote was neat, and possibly one of the best tacos of my life at El Maestro Choricero in honor of taco Tuesday (still drooling over the fried cheese and Cactus additions). #playadelcarmen#cenotesmexico#cenotemanati#snorkeling#mayanriviera#tacosverdes
We drove down the hipster filled, too trendy route 15. It was... a lot of white people in a lot of white flow-y garb and a lot of “boho eco chic”, whatever that is. Good for them, I guess? Not our thing. But the beach that we stopped at on the way out was truly beautiful.
Jake and Marlene got married last month in Mexico, it was such a beautiful wedding with the most stunning details. Marlene’s dress was absolutely perfect, she looked Gorgeous and went with the perfect silhouette, and style! Can’t stop looking at the photos 💗
One of my best days ever in history. Touring around the island on our pink golf cart searching for the bars with the coldest beer with my favorite people. This spot was such a special find for us...and they DID have the coldest beer and the open Caribbean was the back drop. #mayanriviera#mexico#islamujeres#family#love#carribean
