“The Tofurky Trot is a family-friendly 5k (3.1 mile) fun run, trot, or walk open to all levels of physical fitness, followed by a vegan food fest featuring local and national vendors, speakers, and music (no separate ticket purchase necessary for food fest). "Prizes and medals will be awarded to the first adult and child finishers, to the person wearing the best costume, and to the cutest dog! "All runners will receive a Tofurky Trot tote-bag filled with coupons and swag. T-shirts will be available to purchase. "The LA Tofurky Trot is organized by the Factory Farming Awareness Coalition (FFAC), an educational non-profit empowering people to help save animals, the environment, and our own health through our daily food choices. All proceeds from the Tofurky Trot benefit FFAC's humane education program. "All Tofurky Trot participants will receive free early admission to the post-trot Fall Vegan Food Fest from 11am-3pm featuring some of LA's favorite vegan food vendors, as well as other local and national companies and organizations."

The Anatomy of a Triathlete - Rebuilding - Part IV
Where to go from the bottom? Up. Of course, this is easier said than done. Like Frank Castle from The Punisher, I began plotting the rebuild. .
Step 1: Fix the mentality. Is Project Sub 11 possible? You bet. Can I qualify for Boston? With the proper work, yes. Set realistic goals. Be sure that under extreme duress your mind will not crumble. You will continue to remain mentally strong and stoic through all adversity. .
Step 2: Civilize the mind but make savage the body. Turn your body into a honed machine that won’t crumble under exhaustion either. Train hard. Train properly. Recover well. Come race day, you’ll be more than ready. .
Step 3: Set the goals.
1. Sub 11 Ironman.
2. Boston Qualify
3. Abbott Majors
Step 4: Get to work. No shortcuts. No excuses. .

What a difference a week makes. Week 3 I struggled with every single session; underperformed and questioned myself on each and everyone one of them, why am I doing this? Are my dreams TOO crazy? Am I rushing into an impossible goal?
Week 4 was a breeze. I completed my biggest training load with 11.5 hours of training !! 😱 truth is, the body just adapts to everything you throw at it, there was a time that I would look at this on other athletes and literally wouldn’t understand how they do it, how do you find the time, motivation? turns out, you just get on with it and MAKE the time and you don’t need motivation, just discipline.
And although I can’t say I love every single session I have on my plan, I’m quite in love with triathlon training overall, its variety, its ups and downs and feeling miserable one day, and indestructible the next. .

I was pregnant with my second child you already know. The two pregnancies fattened between 24 and 26 kilos and were followed. What I intend is to encourage these women who may feel bad at this moment and believe that a change is impossible. Dear is possible! And it's never late! I started taking care of my diet at the age of 32 (not the quantities but the quality) and doing more sports a year before. I feel better in all aspects.
