Made it through peak week 🎉
I’m fairly certain that this week was my highest mileage week ever and that’s pretty exciting! This week tested me in every way possible; hard workouts in heat/humidity, asthma flare-ups, buying a house, demo-ing the interior of the house, running a 23-mile long run, and getting super sick late Saturday night because I had pushed myself to my limits. I learned a lot about listening to my body through the chaos, especially after spending last night with a pounding migraine before all the 🤮. Nasty, I know, but I’m glad it happened now so that I can take a step back and reevaluate our plans post-race in Berlin. Instead of being a tourist after the race like I had planned, I think I’m going to treat myself to some room service and a nap and just enjoy the time off from real life! There is such thing as pushing too hard and I found that limit yesterday when I tried to run 23 miles and then go do 8 hours of manual labor on the house. I have a problem sitting still - can you tell??
4 weeks to go until my 2018 goal race is here; I can’t believe how fast training has flown by. Proud of showing up for every run this week even when life was working against me. These are the days that are making my mental game that much stronger. I’m coming for you, Berlin!
1박 2일 삼척 바다 수영 잘 다녀왔습니다 🏊♀️🏊♂️.
작년에도 2번 도전을 했으나 태풍으로 대회 취소 😂.
올해도 역시 높은 파도로 바다 수영은 취소 되고 바로 옆 강에서 수영대회 진행.
2킬로가 이렇게 긴줄 정말 몰랐습니다 😅.
첨 얼굴을 물 속에 담그는데 물속 시야는 하나도 보이지 않지, 발은 닿지 않지🤔.
가도 가도 끝은 없고 숨이 쉬어지지 않아서 정말 힘들었어요.
700m 정도 가니깐 겨우 숨 트이고 시야에 대한 두려움이 사라졌어요😁.
내년에는 겁 먹지않고 도전할수 있을것 같아요.
그리고 일요일 아침 해변 5킬로 러닝.
저한테는 역시 러닝이 편해요 👍👍.
5킬로 너무 짧고 아쉬웠던 거리였어요.
시간만 허락한다면 더 길게 오래 예쁜 바다를 보며 달리고 싶었는데 🏃♀️🏃♂️,.
그건 다음에 혼자 가서 다시 도전해 봐야 겠어요.
이번주부터 다시 풀 준비 들어갑니다.
숙제 밀리지 않고 잘 하겠습니다 ^^.

As a wise friend told me today, perspective is key.
All these long hot runs lately have been making me feel like my goals are waaaay out of reach. Finally got a cool run tonight, and hit some negative splits! Hit my pace goal exactly on the head! 2 months til the @freepmarathon !
Getting into CrossFit which means you work everything, every muscle and every movement and that means leg day every day! I’ll be competing in CrossFit soon enough but have a lot more crappy gym sessions to go! It’s fun though!
I’m the biggest goof you’ll ever meet. But one thing I take seriously is my dream!
Lately Ive realized that I am in full control of my actions. Yup it’s weird to realize that but it’s the truth. We complain because we aren’t in the place we want well instead of complaining fix it and do something about it!

Feeling fit is like a drug... I’m addicted to the feeling of becoming fitter and stronger, and pushing my body to its limits... but also to the relaxation it gives my mind when I run outdoors... and the fitter you are the more you desire it... it’s no longer a choice but a necessity for both my mind and body 🧘🏼♀️🙌🏼✨ By @missnellevz
