I’ve discovered that practicing before my early morning job is not very logical. I plan to practice at that time every night then 5:45am the next morning comes and my body just doesnt want to move that much, if it all. So instead of making a strict schedule of when to get on my mat, I’m just making an effort to get on it everyday. ~
I took a fall at the end of the summer doing a headstand. I wound up bruising my tibia (I have a video of the comical fall) but it took about 2 months for my shin to feel completely normal again. I have not been practicing this inversion much since, mostly in fear of falling and hurting myself that badly again. Today was my first headstand in almost a month. I almost fell out of it but thanks to my forearms and core I managed to hold on. After accomplishing that I realized I need to get over my fear and just do it because it felt so good. Swipe to see the video of me almost tumbling over after attempting a twist😂
the sun hangs
from your window.
those stooped shoulders.
a soft golden touch.
and you feel
coming down to its knees.
it’s a good start.
I have been soaking up as much sun as possible and eating allllllll the good food 😋 paradise does exist after all 😏🌴☀️ Currently on our way to get some açaí bowls and then go hiking 😛 what are you up to today?
I have officially worked @trufusionsummerlin for one year! 🥳🤸🏼♀️ I am thankful to work at such a nice studio with some incredibly kind members, truly amazing teachers, and coworkers who have become friends. I’ve had so many opportunities, including teaching yoga weekly, leading a workshop, participating in workshops, taking on the role of Marketing Coordinator, and more. I am happy to be part of the #TruTribe 🥰
What if love were breath. And you could inhale, and refill. 💙 And exhale, and give back. 💕
Effortless, deliberate, priceless, necessary. 💛🌬
Well, shouldn’t we be creating that, regardless?
Namaste, loves. Have a great day!
What if? You could get over what other people think 🙌 If there was one thing I could scream out at the top of my lungs to the world right now it would be “ GET OVER ITTTT”
followed by “I LOVE YOU, But seriouslyyyy”
there comes a point when we start making ourselves feel uncomfortable, as if we can’t behave without doing something wrong 😱 Soon enough life becomes this delicate tip toe of “oh no I don’t want to upset that person” and before you know it you stop doing the things you want to do because it’s easier to just people please, play it safe and make everyone feel comfortable. 🙌
Comfort is bullshit. It’s the closest thing to time standing still and it serves no purpose unless you are aware of it and have a plan. And people pleasing is actually a huge disservice to most people you do it to. You’re not helping them, it’s good to challenge people’s idea of “normal” and to pave the way to helping them be more comfortable with being uncomfortable. Because really, when life is truly happening it’s not comfy. 🖤
This is a throwback hollow back from hot Sunny days in Toronto, nothing like right now 🥶

“Lover, if you only knew
The times that train has fooled me too, and tears me from a place I know.
It helps me to surprise myself”
Today mindful mantra’s:
I promise to show up for my highest self.
I know I am an equal match for mountains.
I love my contrasts because I know it leads me to a place of growth 💛

What could possibly be better than being close to nature and breathing in the fresh air, high up on the edge of the richly green Ayung River valley in Bali’s central foothills? We think having Princess lead us through carefully-choreographed Soulflow classes is the icing on the cake that everyone deserves on a 4D3N yoga retreat planned with the intention to help you take a mid-year breather.

I don’t know about you but the most freedom I get in my practice has all to do with the spine.
My morning flows will always include these spinal waves to unstick everything that my dreams might have held.
Finally understanding the saying:
You’re only as young as your spine is flexible!
Let me know if you try them!
Video sped up x2
“There is nothing more powerful or radical or stunningly beautiful than a woman who chooses to rebuild her life day after day, after day. No matter how many pieces there are to pick up, or how many mistakes she must spin into gold.”
