I can’t believe this is actually happening! I’m sewing in peace and quiet and it’s the daytime. My youngest has just started playgroup on Tuesday and Friday mornings and although I miss him I am delighted to actually feel like I’m doing something I want to do. I’m so happy I could burst 😁😁

Hey everyone, I've been pretty quiet on the IG front as I've been building a mega website which has taken all of my waking hours.
Not for a client for once - for me!
Which is why I have been so careful with it - the fonts, the colours, the layout, the copy - perfectionism as procrastination perhaps?
Maybe a little - but mostly, because as an artist I want my work to be showcased in it's best light.
It will finally have all that I do (for those of you who still aren't sure 😂) in one place so you will be able to: .
🛒 Buy my new line of Art Apparel 🛒 Buy Limited Edition Art Prints 🛒 Buy Original Paintings 🛒 Book a Commissioned Artwork
Then for the Business Strategy for Creatives part, you'll be able to: .
📍 Join my monthly membership group Creative Entrepreneurs Circle
📍 Purchase my online course Motivated Creative
📍 Join me in New Zealand or Bali for my Minted Creative Mastermind
📍 Book me to consult for your creative business one-on-one
I am BEYOND excited to have a home for all that I offer and to celebrate, I'm going to GIVE away free art prints valued at $145 each.
I am going to purchase them for you, and you just have to cover the shipping (US$9 to anywhere in the world). I'll release the order form officially over the next few days - but comment below with an emoji and I'll send you the link as soon as it's live if you want a free print on me!
Thanks to all my amazing supporters so far - here's to the next chapter....woop!
PS These are premium art prints on 308gsm Hahnemuhle paper (the best paper makers in the world) and using 12 colour giclee printers with ink that lasts 100+ years.
New fabric design with a very imaginative name.. 'water lilies'
Still can't decide whether I like this small scale or a slightly larger scale 🤔 But either way we should have meterage in store soon.
Also we're hosting another dream group this thursday from 5 till 6. Come along and talk dreams and life synchronicities with us 😊
All designs are printed onto a sheet of newsprint first to check I’m happy with the colour and design as well as making sure there are no errors or issues with the screen. I often reuse the paper to save wastage. These colours accidentally worked really well together.
I’ve been in the mood lately for fall colors 🤗 go figure! “Autumn” was dyed on 100% merino wool it’s a heavy DK/worsted weight from @knit_picks using @jacquardproducts. It reminds me so much of the leaves falling from the trees as they change with the season. Remember raking all the leaves into a pile and jumping in them as a kid!? I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday! 🍁
Laminate, resin, oxidised silver, wood (wenge), steel pin.
Large brooch: 81mm x 19mm x 15mm
Small pin: 32mm x 16mm x 8mm
This month I revisited the technique I used for my March brooch - cutting tiny squares of laminate and setting them together in resin, this time a dark navy blue/black. I wanted to make a larger piece and then I kept sanding the shape until I was happy with the form. I felt it needed something more, so I cut it in two and added some wood. I ended up making a chunky pin out of the smaller piece, so two brooches this month! I love the brick-like layers and pattern as well as the rough wood paired with the smooth laminate. And for the first time this year it’s finished before the end of the month 🤸♂️
I saw so many beautiful hostas on my walk to the park with my son yesterday that I had to come home and stitch this leaf during his nap. I love the contrast on variegated hosta leaves and the colours look so lovely on the organza 😍 this is another piece that will be part of my next shop update! Hope you’re having a great Monday 💛
