October 20th, and it's t-shirt hiking weather. Unreal... might as well enjoy it! I logged about 21 mostly easy miles (4100 total gain) starting with sunrise at Second Burroughs (Sunrise, MRNP) and culminating with this evening at Packwood Lake where my dad, uncle, and cousin were camping for a couple days. I hung out with them until night and hiked out in the dark. It was a lovely day!
Days are getting shorter, winter will soon be upon us. Capturing scenes like this are becoming more of a challenge for me juggling my day job with my photography. Driving to this location always holds mystery with how the light will look, and it seems the more mystery there is, the slower the cars in front of me drive! I’ve been dying to get this shot for a long time now and it’s one I’m super pleased with, what do you like about this scene?
