••• Bir an kayboldun gibi. Yaşadım kıyameti
Yoruldun ama buldun ey kalbim emaneti
Yeniden su yürüdü dalıma yaprağıma
Bir bakışın can verdi kurumuş toprağıma
Çiçeğe durdu kalbim içtim parmaklarından
Göz çeşmem suya erdi sevda kaynaklarından
Bir aydınlık denizin sonsuz derinliğinde
Yüzüyorum gözünün yeşil serinliğinde
Bir ışık bir kelebek biraz çiçek biraz kuş
Yeni bir ülke yüzün ellerimde kaybolmuş

Hayırlı Akşamlar Dilerim Arkadaşlar 🌾
I normally am an incredibly heavy sleeper. I can fall asleep in minutes, and won’t wake up to any noise on any given day. However, in the winters, I enjoy getting up at 4 am on the weekends to go out and capture this areas beauty. In actually wake up effortlessly!
I prefer to shoot my landscapes in the mornings because there are far fewer people on the roads and out in the mountains. The birds are quiet and the air is calm. It’s just really peaceful to me.
Anyway, I woke at 4am, jumped in the shower and made my coffee. I already had my bags packed from the night before, and I was out the door by 4:45. I planned on driving up to Sardine Lake just outside of Graeagle, CA. Unfortunately, the road was closed for the last 10 miles of my drive, so I couldn’t shoot what I wanted without a snowmobile.
I was able to capture some amazing views though. The sun peaked out here and there, the fog was dense and the clouds were laying low. With all of these things lining up, it was shaping out to be a wonderful morning in the mountains.
This scene is from Donner Lake, and I love everything about it. The mood, the frost, the fog, and the calm water just screams perfection to me.
PS - if you’d like to order any prints as Christmas gifts for loved ones, or even for you, just let me know. There’s still time to order and have them deliver before the 25th.
