Well my shop is shut down for a couple of days while I work on a much needed overhaul of my dust collection system.
I was looking back through some of my Christmas projects and realized that I never posted this beauty of a board. This brunck board was a custom gift for a good friend of mine from his fiancé. Now what am going to give these two for their the actual wedding gift? They've ruined my plan! 😅

Ron kept warm while exploring some of Nova Scotia’s frozen waterfalls with his ETC toque. Did you know about the fleece liner beneath the wool that makes them super comfy and extremely warm! We’re out of stock of the black toques, but we still have a handful left of the grey that can be purchased on our website. 📸 Ron Singer

Lighting a dirty bastard and hanging out with our best fur buds on this cold snowy day

It's been a while since I've done a meet the maker & with all my new followers (Thank you! ) I figured it was time.
I'm Kay 👋
Slightly socially awkward almost 31 year old Mama to three wild babes! I'm happily married to be bearded husband, we've been together since we were 19/20 years old.
Obviously yarn obsessed. I taught myself how to crochet 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest. All of my patterns are completely my own, I don't even have written patterns, I should probably get on that!
Other than HGKC & of course my beautiful family, I love to garden. It's like my therapy 🙌 My dream is to buy a old farm house on a good chunk of property, start a flower farm and continue to make your sweaters!
I'm a avid thrift shopper and #slowfashion supporter! I love to cook and bake, am in to all things natural & holistic and love to be outdoors as much as possible.
There are always at least two radios on in my home, 24/7. Music speaks to me and really has the power to change my mood completely.
I'm a plant hoarder 😅. I also collect baskets and coffee mugs. Everyone has a thing, right?
That's basically me! Just a Mama trying to do my best & enjoying the ride ✌
If you made it that far, it's nice to meet you! Tell me about yourself below

I’ve listed a small collection of rainbow wallhangings in my shop. I have to say, I really loved creating these, even with alllll of the unwinding of ropes, insane amount of brushing trimming, I’m just loving the final result of these happy, fluffy little wallhangings! Are there any colour combos you’d like to see on my feed? Let me know in the comments below!👇🏼 Happy Friday friends!✌🏼
What should we name her!? A soft blush toned, satin scrunchie with a dainty + feminine floral print. Perfect for spring! Help us name this little thang and you could snag one for helping! Drop your name suggestions below, we’ll pick our favourite and if we pick yours; you might just get your hands on one before they launch! 👇🏻✨
The Vintage Camera Plate is one of our largest designs and is a great addition to any kitchen decor 📷.
All of our plates are cured in Hemp oil. The seeds are harvested from plants grown in Saskatchewan, Alberta and some here in BC. The plants are grown through Organic practices by Canadian farmers who excel in this particular field. Once harvested, the seeds are then cold pressed into oil using absolutely NO solvents. Another and often common way to get oil from seeds is through solvent or chemical extraction. Solvents such as Hexanes are used to help extract oil from seeds which is usually an easier and cheaper process than cold or expeller pressing. Hexanes are made from crude oil and can be harmful to your health if inhaled or ingested. "They" assure us as consumers that these chemicals are completely removed or filtered from the oil once the process of extraction is complete... why take the chance. And get this....even if the oil you buy at the store for cooking says its organic, that's not a guarantee that Hexanes aren't used. Even organic crops or seeds can be processed into oil through the solvent extraction process. I don't know about you but guys but I'd rather not worry and wonder. So in summary that's why we decided to use the oil we do! Alot of other companies that make children's products use linseed oil. Most, not all, but most linseed oil that I researched was solvent extracted. I love Coconut oil but unfortunately we can't have it all here in Canada. Happy Saturday everyone!
