Grateful to have been born and raised in this beautiful place called HOME. I love sharing stories to my children of where I grew up. And hoping one day when they’re adults, that they’ll love and understand where they’re from, and appreciate the culture diversity that we share with everyone on this island. #grateful#luckywelivehawaii#lovenature#homeintheislands#sunsetswim
Prolly one of the best part of the concert that I've seen 😍
“To the youth, to the youth out here... just because we’re on an island in the middle of nowhere don’t mean you can’t make so much noise that the world can’t hear you....
Hawaii, everywhere I go I hope you know that all I wanna do is make you so proud...if you ever see me on tv, if you ever see a music video I repp this island so hard, I love you all so much.... thank you!!! -Bruno Mars .

🌟🌟🌟WIN THIS VASE🌟🌟🌟...this beaut will go to one lucky raffle ticket holder at the Aloha Home Market in Kailua this Sunday! I decided to include this terra cotta vase for the giveaway because these colors remind me of stunning Kailua beach 🏝
Not every moment is romantically glorious, in fact most moments aren’t. Most moments ask of us to offer up our body, be it in blood, sweat, bone or tears. Most moments have us working day in and day out to disentangle overgrown habits and uproot suffocating thoughts. Most moments test our resolve and leave us questioning the validity and worthiness of our presence in a space. Most moments no one but ourselves see. Most moments, though, eventually do lead us to moments that are very much not like most. ✨
One fine Sunday excursion led me here. I’m still digesting, processing and letting the goodness soak in. This place has a very special vibe to it. It’s hard to capture in words, but I felt held. Held, grounded and supported to go inward.
I used to feel uncomfortable with mantras in Sanskrit. I didn’t understand what they meant and vibration was a foreign word to me. Chanting a mantra has changed my life over time, it works in me and through me in a way I can’t quite capture in words, it has to be experienced.
Experiencing one of the monks chanting yesterday took it yet to next level. By noticing how I feel during and afterwards, I judge if it’s something I want to continue to expose myself to. Just like with food, people and different environments, my experience is valid and worthy of being heard. Feel it, and you know if it’s your truth. Sometimes placing a hand on my chest to actually feel the physical vibration when I chant makes me appreciate it in a new way and it becomes so obvious to me, that of course we’re affected by the vibration of the sounds we make. That’s the whole point, to raise our beings vibration. Especially by chants in Sanskrit language that was entirely built on vibration. (So was Hebrew.)
Did or does anyone else have a similar experience? I would love to hear about it!

Taking time to immerse myself in everything I love most about this sacred island: Being active. Shopping local. Eating from the land. Connecting with my favorite humans. Soaking in the sunshine and the sea. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
