So many bees! 🐝
They have been buzzing nearly all day!
Our gorgeous little flowering gum has been visited by the noisy lorikeets this morning,
a little New Holland Honeyeater at lunchtime,
and a larger Wattlebird came soon after.
(he had so much trouble competing with the bees, he is lucky he didn’t get stung! He wasn’t afraid of them at all!)

Just thinking looking back on our huge challenge of our big garden make over.
This year was a massive challenge for us, months of hard work, late nights, 1000's of wheel barrows of soil and shingles moved!
Over 12 trees removed and huge roots dug out.
Railway sleepers placed, new steps, paths.
Looking back just remind me of how many fantastic memories we made as a family.
Love the way the children were so involved.
Roll on spring, when we can get back into part 2 of our make over.
Still having to come in from the garden because it gets just too dark, rather than having to come in for dinnertime .... but spotted some snow drops, so that’s the start of the flowers coming back and hopefully the days will be noticeably longer soon. Boys playing “throw the leaves off the bridge” 🤦🏻♀️ and Reuben trying to take a reluctant Sébastian’s hand on the spot in the garden where me and André were married.
Bit of a survival day today, but finally André is back and currently one boy asleep and the other one not far behind him. 😅

Children. They absorb everything around them, which includes what you do, what you say, and what you eat 😳
Want your kids to make healthier choices, and to learn to love fresh fruit & veg?
Give them the opportunity to do so,
WITH YOU. Make a healthy snack together. Share it together.
Let them see you enjoying it, and one day (yes, it might not be today...😂) but one day, they will too!
Every action you take has an impact. Together, we can inspire the next generation to learn about food, what it does for their bodies & where it comes from.
Health starts here...with you
Create the rainbow 🌈 on a plate. Even if they don’t eat it, watching you enjoy it will leave a lasting impact on their health 🙌
So this is our back yard... I have been very bad lately and have concentrated on the front - it gets sun and flowers grow! But we have a fabulously huge pecan nut tree which once again has little nuts growing. It's a shady space with lots of trees. The ground is very root-bound. Gorgeous and cool in the summer. I did not show you the pool because it is green after all the rain and my not-so-lovely husband has threatened to post a pic of me snoring in front if the tv if I do. That would scare the crap out of all of you. 😁😂🤣 #gardensofig#loveourgarden#trees#pecannuts#shady

This morning we got up early and went to the farmers market. Check out my new plants for the garden. Only going to plant them when we come back from our few days away in Magoebaakloof. Also got a tree tomato but have to find a good spot to plant it. Probs in the back garden.

Found this little dude growing in a crack the other day. Gave him a gentle tug to see if I could replant him somewhere sensible but he held firm. So went grovelling, found half a pot and gave him some more soil. I swear he grew overnight. .
