NEW CHAPTER FOR AWAD
I am extremely honoured to announce that our work has been validated by the issuance of our licence by the Ministry of Community Development.
AWAD is now entering an exciting new chapter as we transition into a national organisation, with the capabilities and responsibilities this brings.
Our license allows AWAD to conduct animal welfare activities across the UAE.
Our work will cover 3 main areas;
1) Animal care
2) Education and awareness
We are a community based, non-profit organisation aimed at improving the lives of animals in the UAE.
Our activities are run entirely by trained volunteers and we actively encourage community participation to help all animals in need. Training and education are at the forefront of our mission; we provide hands on workshops, training events and educational programs for both public and private sectors, nationally and internationally.
Animal Welfare Abu Dhabi advocates high standards of veterinary care, along with education and a comprehensive sterilisation program for community animals as part of our Voluntary Vets Program, in line with national and international standards.
The organisation is currently not funded and relies entirely upon community support and compassion to achieve our vision of ensuring every animal in the UAE is cared for appropriately and lives a life free from cruelty and suffering.
On behalf of AWAD I would like to thank you all for helping to make this happen.
