Around this time of year, people start to talk about how the gym will be busier soon because of New Years resolution people.
I think that the new year is a great time to start working towards your fitness goals!💪🏼
Some people will say “but you can start them any time of the year”.
While that is true since society DOES see the new year as a new start (hence the name lol) it can make you feel like it’s a great time to reinvent yourself. 🙌🏼
Sometimes little things like that can help change someone’s mindset! ✨
92% of people don’t follow through with resolutions though😬
BUT I think this is because people don’t know how to properly set goals! It’s totally possible to NOT become that statistic 🤗
Be specific about your goals! How much weight do you want to lose? Figure out your gym schedule, find some healthy, yummy recipes in advance that get you excited! Set yourself up for success! 😁
You don't have to start actually working towards these goals this month (although it is something to consider!) but at least spend some time PLANNING them out and you're going to be MUCH more likely to reach them 💪🏼🙌🏼😀

"Five Rules For Fat Loss 🖐
Let’s get one this straight...
Right here, right meow 😼
If you’re not enjoying your weight loss journey — you despise your diet, loathe grocery shopping, dread working out, etc. — then you’re doing yourself a tremendous disservice and something needs to change. Pronto.
I’m NOT saying you have to adore every second of losing weight...
At times, it’s difficult to stick to your nutrition plan or muster up the energy to slip on your shoes and drive to the gym...
But(t🍑) if you’re in a constant state of unhappiness, it’ll just be a matter of time before you quit altogether.
And while some approaches to diet & exercise are more suitable for achieving sustainable fat loss results, at the end of the day, what ultimately matters is YOU.
—> YOU need to stop comparing yourself to others.
—> YOU need to stop punishing yourself every time you slip up (remember, no one’s perfect)
—> YOU need to make sure that you’re following diet & exercise protocols that you enjoy (or at least tolerate and value)
—> YOU need to know it’s okay to have “fun foods” on occasion (just remember there’s a difference between eating one piece and the entire box/package 😉)
—> YOU need to recognize that progress is progress, no matter how small
Weight loss is hard work, no doubt...
It shouldn’t be miserable, though.
It can (and should) be rewarding and enjoyable 💪🙂”
Hey IG fam! For those of you who haven’t been following up until now, I’m Anna. This is me, currently 79 lbs down from where I started, and me at 310lbs. One thing I love about losing weight is being able to fit into old clothes. It’s soooo satisfying. Let me know what you love about the journey!
1. If you’re trying the GAIN weight/muscle, like me, eat your heavier meal later in the day. Eat 6 (3 the least) consistent healthy meals a day. Be mindful of your source of protein and exercise with weights. Good fibers are your friends. Try a shit if grapefruit juice early in the day if you need to open up your appetite.
2. If you’re trying to LOSE weight, your main priority should be conditioning your metabolism. Eat your heavier meal earlier in the day so it burns more. Building muscle burns calories longer than 1 hour of cardio. And DETOX, DETOX, DETOX! Not just by cleansing or consuming antioxidants but changing your eating habits. Try a breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner schedule ending at 8pm. The more familiar your body becomes with certain foods is the more your body will get rid of the things it no longer craves. Try eating half of a grapefruit in the morning to burn more fat.
3. Everyone needs 30 minutes of vigorous to moderate physical activity per day. Eat smarter not less. Food is fuel, if you don’t eat, your body will preserve what it has to survive. That goes completely against your goal.
4. Avoid salts and alcohol. Drink 1 gallon (about 8 16.9oz bottles) of water per day.
5. Eating clean boosts your energy. So does 10 minutes of exercise first thing in the morning and starting your day with a gesture of success (Like throwing your fists it the air like Rocky)Try eating healthier and substituting coffee and sweets with green tea and fruit. 😉(CLIENT SELFIE: SIZE 18 to 12 in 3 MONTHS) •
Prepping for work tomorrow part 2 - lunches made up of roasted butternut squash with a sprinkling of smoked paprika, cumin and oregano, chickpeas sprinkled with paprika and cayenne pepper,🔥red onion and red pepper, which will be eaten on a bed of baby spinach. 🤤 All 0sp but I've logged each portion as 1sp as I was a bit enthusiastic with the spray oil! 🙈
Still got like 40-50 more pounds to lose to get to my goal weight, but this is what working out & dieting for a year straight looks like! Dropped 70lbs this year, I’m super proud of myself for all the hard work and dedication. I finally feel sexy in my own skin again! ❤️🥰 #losingweight#workoutgamestrong
During the week, I’m probably the biggest coffee drinker in high school 🥺💁🏻♀️ but over the weekend, I like to enjoy a cup of decaf tea or coffee in the morning. What I LOVE to add to my morning cup of tea is this @kingsolomondates pure date syrup.
#benefits of this is that it’s a great alternative to using honey or maple syrup while baking or as a sweetener in tea. It’s made out of 100% dates, without any added sugars or preservatives.
When it comes down to substitutes, I try and use the least processed item I can. I’m not a big fan of anything added that shouldn’t be there 🙄. Dates are high in fiber and potassium 💪🏼 and have a great sweet taste!

It's crazy that I didnt know how much my body changed until I took this picture and put it side by side to an old picture of me. Back then everyone said I looked good and I'm curvy but it didn't matter cause I didnt love the way I look. Instead of complaining and stuffing my face with food I promised to make a change for the better. Not temporary but permanently. I'm still working towards by goal but I am truly happy with my body. If you want to make a change just do it. May 2018 I was drinking heavily, eating all the time ( didn't even know what cooked food was lol) and just doing nothing. Now dec 2018 I workout 4-5 times a week, I cut out red meat (temporarily) , no alcohol and drink more water. I still indulge however in moderation and not all the time! Heres an update hopefully I can achieve the next step in the journey and I can share it all to you guys! Patience is key!

Raise your hand if you working out today🙋🏻♀️. Took me shy of 2 years to drop 150 lbs. and I’ve maintained it off for 4 years now after that. I understand it’s difficult for both sexes, however, us females deal with weight gain during pregnancies also. I don’t get the opportunity to workout as much with my little one (who is only 3 months and a half) but I find every opportunity I can to make it to my workouts. Exercising bring me joy and releases stress, as well as helps my health and body goals. Our bodies can withstand almost anything, it’s our minds that we need to convince of our strength. I workout because I love my body, not because I hate it. After all, it’s the only body we’ve been given...we have to take care of it. Workout. Eat well. Be patient. Your body will reward you for it! 💯 ✅@adry_bella✅ BE STRONG, LIVE LONG💟 .

Oh hey girl....you’re a damn beauty at every angle. When you turn and shift. When the lighting changes. Does it change who you truly are? Nope. Does that angle make you less loving? Nope. Does it make you a different person? Nope. Does it make you less badass? Hell No. Does it make you a less of a friend, parent, or spouse? Nope. Does it make you less productive in life. Nope. Are you still YOU? I bet you are. Show me every angle. Every lighting. Be entirely who you are. Bathe in it. Love what you’ve accomplished. Celebrate. Stop picking it apart. It is you. How you carry that mind and soul around. You’re crushing it. .
You’re more than what your skin looks like before, during or after weight loss. You are your smile, your heart, your attitude, your mind. You are already perfection. .
My own sister in law didn’t recognize me when she saw me this morning. That took my breath away. What an incredible year. My heart is so full. 🤗 Stay tuned guys, I’m going to be doing a holiday giveaway soon. I have so much gratitude for my instafam and the role you’ve played in my transformation❤️❤️❤️
