Armchair with Self Portrait 1987 One of two canvases I painted in memory of my Mother who died in 1983 When my Dad sold the bungalow c1986 I asked for the armchair to be left for me to draw and photograph. Also I took photos of myself on the self timer and tripod for reference to do the painting. The photos I got developed and printed had some strange foggy effects it was like ectoplasm or smoke and like my Mother’s spirit. She like my Dad was a chain smoker.. so I used the strange effects in my paintings. #inmemory#selfportraitpainting#armchair#interior#windowviewpaintimg#art#londonartist#artistsoninstagram#patriciabuckleyartistuk
