I honestly have had the most amazing 5 days on my own! I loved every minute of it. Go back 12 months ago and no way would I have just done what I have. May not seem like much to most but this little adventure was a major boundary pusher for me. Riddled with anxiety and always being a people pleaser I mentally stopped myself from pursuing things I wanted and physically prevented myself from living life. I was too focused on helping and fixing those around me and I thought that was all I could do in life. Bullshit! It got me no where, I suffered financially and emotionally and ended up with some awesome mental health woes. Today, I have no issue with saying it how it is, I know my worth, I will not engage with negativity for the sake of keeping someone else’s feelings okay. If someone doesn’t like me, that’s okay! That is their problem not mine. If someone wants to criticise or judge my choices and life, go for gold. They’re fighting a one sided battle. I’ve found this sense of contentment within myself the past few months and honestly, things have been getting better for me. My circle may be very small now but the rewards for the hard work and focus are rolling in. I now have the confidence to commence writing a blog, before I was worried about what others would think... not anymore #motivated#blessed#adventures#livinlife#explore#soul#doingitforme#appreciation#solotravel#livelovelaugh#goodvibrations#blog#writing#goals#focus#countryroads#workingitout#aussiemums#preaching#livelifeforyou
In remembrance of my dad this week.... He was a music major and graduated from West Texas State in Canyon. It is now West Texas aTm 🤙🏼 He grew up in a little town called Pampa and music 🎶 was his life. He sang in a quartet from elementary school on up. He made many many albums, that I own.💕
He sang in the first year of production (and through-out college) of the Palo Duro Canyon Play in college and to this day it is still running.... He sang at funerals and weddings to make ends meat in college, and at church. And he even played in a western movie 🎥. 🤠
But mostly... he sang to me and my siblings all the time. He would sing to us originals or his version of songs he liked. We used to love to try and get the rattle snake tail out of his guitar 🎸 but never succeeded. Family and friends loved his voice.... the low baritone vibes would ripple through your veins and give you goose bumps. Oh how I miss that.
I will always treasure him singing my favorite prayer 🙏 “The Lord’s Prayer” at my wedding. I am blessed to have a father that passed down musical talents to his kids and I can pop in my CD 💿 of his Opera Days and listen to his wonderful voice and he is close to my heart. 💜
Nothing like spending time in discomfort to ignite a fire in your belly and that fire lights flames of creative thinking everywhere — and that creative thinking sees no roadblocks on the path to your mission, only creative leaps and flamethrowers, right @elonmuskofficiall ?☄️🔫 @the_boring_company 🤓🙌 Yah a hustler or a gypsy gangster 💁🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️😉
