It’s snowing outside and here I am snuggled up with Harry Potter & my Chesnut praline latte ☕️ 💙. I’m a total homebody and I used to try so hard not to be. But you know what?! That’s me. I love traveling, I love being with my friends, but at the end of the day I also love just being home and snuggling up to a good book or show! When I found this sweatshirt I HAD to get it. How freaking cute is it?! I got it from @havengracedesign...she has the cutest stuff. This chestnut praline latte is hardly any fat or sugar and I got the recipe from the wonderful, @themacrobarista. Can I just say how much I love Instagram for bringing all these amazing people in my life?!

How does the Nano Mister work?
A commonly asked question I often get is “what is that misty thing you’re using and how does getting the extensions wet help speed up the drying process?”
Here is a simplified answer to the scientific process. Cyanoacrylate, which is the active ingredient in eyelash extension adhesive, must polymerize for the adhesive to dry or “cure”. Polymerization is the act of single molecules reacting together to form a chain of molecules called a polymer. This process turns the adhesive from liquid to solid. Hydrogen, which is found in water, must be present in order for this process to take place. By using a small controlled mist of water, we are able to activate the curing process immediately following the lash extension application. The glue cures in 4 hours! Which ultimately means no more waiting 24-48 hours to get your lashes wet like we had to when I first started lashing! 🤗🤗
He’s my favorite design assistant and the ⓡⓔⓐⓛ MVP of this whole crazy deal!🏆 Between handling our house & other client projects he’s seen the inside of juust about every tile/flooring/granite & paint shop this side o’ town 😬 I’d be lying if I said the mom guilt wasn’t kicking in. Ford-O, this is me publicly pinky-promising to take you to only the funnest of parks daily once the literal dust settles around here🤞🏻
A watchful sentinel over Rainier and her forests.
I can't get over the photos we managed from our hike to High Rock Lookout, just south of Mt. Rainier. A stunning hike that ended with uncommonly clear skies, I was taken aback by my surroundings on this rugged, inhospitable precipice. Imagining life in a fire lookout reminded me of reading Kerouac's Dharma Bums and dreaming of panoramic solitude. It was no surprise, later, to find out that this firelookout is considered to be one of the most beautiful remaining relics of the Forestry Service.
Gustav Heissen sure had a flair for nomenclature when we dubbed this gem "High Rock" eh?
Long overdue skincare date with these two! Avance Elixir and DF mobile - upping the results tonight. Perfect for areas of concern (tonight it was forehead & eyes for me!) The DF mobile device is perfect for me as I rarely get facials (poor me!) but this packs just enough punch to deliver all those lovely peptides into my skin, using the same technology as our in Salon facials. Bringing the Salon home so to speak. The DF mobile device is available to order in Salon - if you really want to push forward with those skincare goals, perhaps pop one of these on your santa list! 🎅 #environ#skincaregoals#livebeautifully#buildingbeautifulskin#futureproofyourskin#environskincare#claireduffbeauty#skincaremusthaves

It’s true! (and so last minute it’s just funny at this point 😂) I’m holding Rocky Mount, NC minis on Tuesday, November 27th!
*Usually* my mini sessions are only every other year in the spring, but I’ve been getting Rocky Mount inquiries and it’s a bit of a hike 🙈 so I’m making things a little easier for everyone and way more wallet friendly for you

I love 🧡seeing this picture because I can see Chiara in action styling Melissa for this picture📷.
Taking care of all details so everything is picture perfect🤩! And the best is that the whole style was made using only sustainable fashion (yes we can 💪 and it is beautiful 😍)
Would you like to learn about slow fashion? Join me this Saturday at 13:00. I will be giving a workshop🤓 at @sifutrecht in collaboration with @gatindemarktutrecht! .
I am so excited 😆 I can’t wait!!! 2 days to go! .

I was so blessed to be apart and to witness the best day of my brother and sister-in-law’s life! “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
Genesis 2:18 NLT
👋🏼 Just me over here, laying down some gesso in my all jean get-up! •
As I continue brainstorming on the whys and hows of the art world, I am questioning what makes “GOOD” art. Doing my research, this quote from critique Denis Dutton really stuck. “The value of artwork is rooted in assumptions about the human performance underlying its creation”. Essentially what he is saying (from my perspective) is that the authenticity of the artist is crucial (or least the presumption of authenticity...but we wont go there today). For me, I feel authentic in what I am making. It is me, and will continue to change as I change. •
This topic goes SOOO much deeper than what I am touching on in this post, but for now I will leave it at this... If you are making something that you feel is you (at least for a moment), I am calling it “good”. And you should too :)
I like shooting little « scènes de vie » pictures because I like people watching. My husband always calls me out because he sometimes catches me staring 😄 And I’m not doing it to be intrusive or anything, I am truly like a child watching grown ups eat and talk and go by their day. I’m fascinated by people and their emotions and how easy and mellow sometimes life appears to be. I have child like wonder and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of that, it’s the one thing I like most about myself : how much I like others.
