We went exploring at Red Bluffs today. I’ll be honest. I’m not really the adventurous type. I’m more the, “Don’t go that high!” “Please, be careful!!” “ You’re going to get hurt.” kind of a mom. (Someone always threatens to leave me home next time. This was actually my first time to go as far as we went today.) However, the leaves have been so beautiful this year, I wanted to get out & see more. The sun didn’t cooperate, & it wasn’t those vibrant colors after a rain. Not to mention, no pictures do justice to the true beauty. But, we had a great time!! Ella now thinks she is a professional mountain climber. 😂
Who knew Georgia had a “little grand canyon”?🏜 I grew up here and had no clue! I’m convinced there’s adventure ALL around us. The heavens are declaring His glory and creation is singing His praises! Let’s lean in and listen, open our eyes and see. We might be surprised at the glory we’ve been beholding all along. #littlegrandcanyon#safflesadventures#eyeswideopen

While we were camping last week, we took a day trip to Providence Canyon State Park in southwest GA. It’s hard to believe these 150 foot deep canyons were caused by poor farming practices during the late 1800s and early 1900s. We hiked through the canyons on these constantly wet trails. There were also some native azaleas still blooming at the bottom of the canyons, too. You can read more about the canyon and see more pictures on the blog in profile.
