There’s nothing more inspiring than watching someone with their back against the wall fight their way out!
I’ve been at the bottom. I remember what it felt like to take ownership, to realize that I was EXACTLY where I was supposed to be, based on the decisions I had made.
I also knew I was meant for more. So, I fought my way out. With work as my weapon, I cut through every excuse, every source of negativity, every opposition.
I was dangerous, but I was good. I still am...
I’ve found that every struggle I’ve been through has been a catalyst for future success.
This is great to talk about in hindsight...not so fun to wrap your head around when you’re in the storm... But that doesn’t make it any less true. Know this- there is a purpose in your pain. The quicker you figure out what that purpose is, the quicker you will use it to grow.

When I look around at my life, I’m grateful that I can say “yeah, this makes sense.”
Success is so much sweeter when you’ve earned it. When YOU know the work that YOU have put in day after day, NOBODY can take this feeling from you.
For an Introvert minded person like myself, Insurance business was not my dream.. but Insurance fulfill my dream.
The freedom of time; the joy of helping others when they need us the most; the joy of helping others to succeed in this very same business.
Now, I love Insurance business more than any business ever exist.

Your insurance policy that you purchased from an insurance company is to be used ‘in the event of’ an unexpected loss. I receive way too many calls and emails from potential customers wondering why their insurance rates have increased. .
Here is part of the answer: Insurance companies review your most recent 5 years of claim history. If every month, every year you are filing a claim, especially those claims filed that amounted to less than your policy deductible amount, you should expect to pay a higher premium. .
Insurance is a form of risk and insurance companies do not like insuring higher risk people that would cause them to pay out more money than expected.
So, be careful of your claim frequency and only file claim when it is absolutely necessary and your have exhausted all other options to repair or replace your asset that has suffered at loss.
Did this give you some clarity? .

My guilty pleasure...☕️
I know I know it’s SO stupid to pay $5 for a cup of coffee. I’ve heard this for years. I think that $5 saved daily adds up to like $20M over 30 years. Something like that right? 🤔 #MathIsHardForMe
I got to say though. I always feel like a get a ton of value out of that $5 espresso drink. For one, it’s typically closer to $4 at my favorite places @firstname.lastname@example.org@dutchmonkeydoughnuts. For two, I always get a drip coffee refill which is typically $1 or less so that brings the cost down down to $2 per serving. And lastly, I get to get out and see people in my community who are always super happy to get that cup of joe. I love the vibe at the coffee shop around 8am. I might be addicted to it even.
So anyway, I just wanted to say that even though Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey and even my idol Mr. Wonderful @kevinolearytv will tell you it’s a terrible investment, I say go for that $5 ☕️ if it’s what gets you fired up 🔥🔥🔥 and ready to dominate your day!

A little #tbt. I can’t tell you how many times Martial Arts saved me from physical as well as emotional/psychological danger. No book on self improvement or personal development can beat the the lessons I’ve learned as martial artist. If you’re looking to: change your life, get healthy, learn to defend yourself, have self-discipline, control your emotions, and much, much more, throw yourself into some karate classes.

Man, what a world we live in. Two life insurance claims in 1 day (meaning 2 of my clients passed away). It’s times like these that remind me that this isn’t some “side hustle”, this is a big responsibility.
Although this business can provide a great source of income, most Insurance Agents and Financial Professionals forget that they’re dealing with life and death.
Everyone can deal with life, but it takes a very special person to know how to deal with death, especially when it comes to personally delivering a check to the families of the deceased. I’m glad I can be that person.

We often set external goals for ourselves and say we’re going to get better jobs, new cars, new homes, etc, but when do we ever stop and say to ourselves, “I just wanna be a better person?”
I openly admit that I don’t agree with certain things about myself. So this year in 2019, I’m dedicating myself to inward growth and personal development to better myself on the inside just as much as the outside.

The company where it all began.
I started my career in the insurance & financial services industry a few years back with with a well-known company by the name of New York Life.
Despite having left the company to go independent, I owe it to them for helping me become a better version of myself, in all aspects of life. They drilled me day in and day out, forced me to step out of my comfort zone, taught me the essence of branding and what it means to hold ourselves to the highest standard, and most importantly - helped me to believe that despite not having any prior experience in finance, I could still do well in this business.
Although I’m no longer appointed to represent the company as an independent, I continue to maintain a positive relationship with my former management team, as well as the agents who I went through training along side with. And I have, on a few occasions, referred a small handful of clients over to the company for products and services I may not have to offer.. particularly securities. Although I offer a variety of safe investment options that could earn up to 10% interest with principal protection, if you’re emotionally and financially prepared to take on a little more risk and be fully invested in the market, then I’ll refer you over to a buddy of mine who still works for the company.
My whole philosophy is to protect my clients assets, but everyone values their money differently, and we all have goals and needs that need to be met 👍🏼

Is your portfolio well-diversified?
As the saying goes,
- “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
Traditionally, the 401(k), Solo/Roth 401(k), IRA, and Roth IRA is the way to go for retirement.
But have you ever considered what would happen if:
1) The market crashed like it did in 2008,
2) For whatever reason, you needed access to the money in that account before age 59 and a half, or
3) If your loved ones/beneficiaries would be paid a death benefit in addition to the money in that account?
~ Not saying one should completely replace any of these accounts, and that having one wouldn’t be advantageous to your retirement, but for yours and your family’s financial sake, it would be wise to explore some “safety-net” options, and perhaps find something that’ll save you from getting killed on taxes, fee’s and penalties on your retirement savings.

It pays a portion of your income if you’re sick or injured and can’t work. Super important, especially to those of you who are self-employed, own your own business or even have employee’s who risk getting injured on the job and YOU having to compensate them financially throughout recovery.

One of the toughest and most emotionally difficult things about being a Life Insurance Agent is when the unthinkable happens and you’re informed that one of your clients is no longer with us, and you have to personally deliver a check to their loved ones and ensure them that everything’s going be alright.
I was originally drawn to the business because I was young, driven and willing to do more for myself than most, but it wasn’t until I issued my first death claim was when I realized how great of a responsibility I had and how fragile a career in life insurance can be.. it’s quite literally a matter of life and death.
And although a large lump-sum of money will never replace the value of one’s life, it brings me great joy and a sense of satisfaction to help provide the means for their loved ones to go on, and that’s why I stayed in this business.
