But how do you know what to eat? And how much extra do you need to eat in order to put on some muscle? ———————————-
This is often the problem for most guys, I often hear ‘I’m just gonna have a load of protein shakes that will work won’t it’ sadly it won’t 😂 ———————————-
Carbs are more vital on a bulk, and your calories need to be roughly 300-400 higher per day than the amount you need to maintain your weight! Sometimes this can be 3000 per day and this then presents another issue, how do I eat that much in one day? ———————————-

Mid week motivation 💪🏼. Currently finishing up an arm workout that you all need to try. Keep your eyes peeled 👀. 5 weeks into the cut so far, dropped just over 4 kilos. Strength remains consistent due to the shallow calorie deficit I’ve been on. Big fluctuations in morning scale weight are to be expected. Do not get caught up on your daily weight especially for beginner to intermediate lifters, trust in the process and take weekly averages. Many factors can effect body weight, it’s how you look and feel that matters in the end. If weight loss plateaus then test a deeper calorie deficit by eating less or adding cardio. Building a strong core is essential in any training program but a lot of traditional core work is a bit boring. Try this circuit and tell me how your core (stomach and low back) feels after. It’s for quality & not time but it took me about 20mins.
500m row (hold a casual pace)
50m unbroken sandbag gut carry (I used 60kg)
15 deficit KB deadlifts (64kg)
Bench is finally going ⬆️! 5x5s last set was a grinder 😅. I was always stuck to the same weight for the longest time ever! I tried everything 😭adding more volume, trying to consistently go up in weight, hitting chest hard everytime , you name it..but I learned sometimes you just have to try unorthodox methods, cut your ego and just focus on ‘technique‘ such as, bar path, form, and tempo. Also, adding “de loads” which is basically lifting with lighter weights and focusing speed & explosiveness with shorter rest time than normal. Try implementing these into your training and see if it helps for any compound lifts! 💪🏻

I have been worn 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 hell 👏🏼 out lately.
Weather shifts, hormones, lack of sleep, it was all bringing me down.
So, today I went to @proactivecalgary for intravenous therapy. I had done this a few times YEARS ago, and remembered how much it helped, so after speaking to them at the F45 anniversary party I knew I needed to start again.
Vitamins and minerals, straight into the bloodstream. Within seconds all I could taste was a multivitamin 😂 which she said definitely shows how deficient I am.
So, full of vitamin C, magnesium, glutathione and B vitamins I am sleepy, but should feel more energetic by morning after what promises to be a great nights sleep!

I realized after having some people tell me, that I do not post enough legs. I promise in the future I’ll be sure to make some leg videos and more content on how to grow your legs. The short answer, at least this works for most people, the more (talking frequency not necessarily weight) you squat the more your legs will grow.
