Today we woke up in the high desert, drove through a Mt Hood snowstorm, found rain, epic waterfalls, vegan bbq & a new friend in Portland & are now sleeping in a cheese shop parking lot along the Oregon coast. *
I love the unpredictability of our days. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. 💕🥰🏞🙌🏻🙏🏼❄️💫🗻🗺🐾

My best shot of tonight's lunar eclipse! Pam & I shared a Moon Pie while we watched the super blood wolf lunar eclipse in a campground near Gulfport, Miss. Ah, the joys of life on the road ... #lunareclipse#moonpie#rvlife#lifeontheroad
A grand total of 110 buses came from all area's of the country to gather together in a remote spot out in the middle of the Arizona desert. We shared our homes, our meals, our stories, our talents, and our lives for 7 absolutely amazing days.
We all came to #skooliepalooza as strangers...but we are all leaving here... as family.♡
You know the heat has been turned off while you were away when your olive oil looks like this 😬
We had a great weekend of making our TV more like a home! Renovation is fun but the details are what gets my heart turning. Stay tuned for lots of things to be shared this week!
👈⬅️ Swipe left to see the monument. ⬅️ .
We hiked to to this seemingly random monument. A local guy hauled up all the materials, including concrete and water. According to a little notebook hidden in a crux of it the monument, it was built in 2008, dedicated to former President Clinton. ⬅️.
Who else likes random hikes to find treasures like this? .
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 this is happiness. This is what it’s all about. This past week a collection of vibrant personalities created a spontaneous community on a small spit of Arizona desert dubbed adventure Island, and lived out what can best be described as adult summer camp. Laughing the whole time, we came together over our shared love for ADVENCHA and activities out the wazoo.... capture the flag, arts and crafts, knowledge sharing seminars, campfire games and music, daily morning yoga, exercise, healthy meals and Yes! I kept it 💯 for dry January.
Pictured here is @freetired ‘s amazing scavenger hunt which was a real highlight for us and all those we interacted with to get points lol.
Friendships were made, a sense of community grown, and at least a handful of people commemorated this incredible experience with real tattoos (of course getting inked in a van). Looking forward to the next time. One Love .check out @van.project ‘s original post to see all the tags and checkout these great people! .
We made it to our next boondocking spot! Thanks to our awesome friend who guided us in, in the dark.
What a day...we were suppose to dock at a park for 2 weeks but decided on a few days in stead and then meetup with some nomadic friends...but the Universe has other plans.
We arrived at our park to find we had the tightest spot, there was a tower down so no internet service which is a must for work and school AND then we were unable to unhitch!! 🤔 We’ve learned to listen to subtle signs, really listen. So we said ok...we get it...we are not supposed to be here. We are in the habit of always having plan B so plan B it was.
We dumped, filled, and showered while we were STILL hitched, lol Boondockers will totally get it. Then...on the road again, driving thru the Arizona desert...to live on solar in a wide open space...and yes...we have full bars internet out here.
Sharing stories by the fire circle with friends and getting ready to watch the Eclipse. What a life!
I was busy packing up our hotel room. I asked Lilly to take care of the birthday balloons behind the couch. About 20 minutes of silence later she popped up from behind the couch and announces, “It’s her night outfit!!”... #designerdaughter#lifeontheroad#twokidsandamama
Over a year ago, Ben and I bought an RV and decided to make it our home. Fast forward to now: Tawanda has taken us from Montana to Texas to North Dakota, South Dakota and across to California. Living in a van full time with two giant dogs isn’t always easy but I’ve learned so much about appreciating the basics, living minimally and what is truly important in life. We’ve been criticized by many for this life choice but at the end of the day all I can say is I’m so thankful and happy to call this home 💕
#takemeback to Belfast!
This was on September 20, 2018, the day Storm Ali hit Belfast and killed two people. We nearly got blown off our feet when we were walking to the bus stop from our hotel that morning and then from the destination bus stop to here! I had to hold on the the traffic light pole when waiting to cross the street!
Anyway, we were in Belfast for two reasons. This, and meeting my dear old online friend @mcolettel and her family! 😘😘 This museum has been on my bucket list since I found out about it. The Little Fam are a bit of a Titanic buff LOL. Not too crazy though, just a tiny bit.
• Travel Journal •
Miss Tilly was due to begin Prep this year, so to keep up on her writing skills we have gotten the @firstname.lastname@example.org Travel Journal 👌🏼 ...
It has a plastic cover to protect the outside, packing checklist, activity pages (perfect for the long car rides) & 92 pages to keep track of our adVANture 🏕 ...
As you can see she is already putting it to good use 😍
Check out their link in our bio for the website to purchase your own travel journal ... plus we also get a kick back for sharing the love 💕
#latergram from September 18, 2018.
We drove to Liverpool that afternoon to drop off our car (sobs 😢, bye Ford Focus!) for an evening flight to our next destination.
This was the point when I started to not understand what the people were saying LOL! Their accents were too thick for my untrained ears! 😅
