Fact: it took me 45 minutes to do a 30 minute workout. Now, about 5-8 minutes I would say is where I stopped to show you guys a move on my stories, but that still means I had to stop, pause, and convince myself that I could do this. It was a workout I had done many times before, but it has been quite a long time.
Fact: I'm not embarrassed by this. Stopping to catch my breath 7 times during a workout is preferable to not doing it at all. And this is something I know I will only continue to get better at.
Don't let perfect become the enemy of good. How much sense does it make to wait until I am fit enough to do a workout? That's nuts. Get fit while doing the workout - don't worry about being perfect because it will never happen. Just work on getting it done. Today, I got it done.
🏃♀️This week has been super busy at the reference desk! ⠀
Got a lot of questions from the New Venture Design class where students create really neat and unique products a.k.a. sometimes nothing out there seems to satisfy their information requirement (which is GOOD as it means that they are among the firsts). ⠀
Therefore I usually switch gears to understanding the consumer habits instead of just solely relying on the industry reports.⠀
But this cutey pie (is it just me but whenever I talk to dogs my voice goes really high pitch and babyish and thanking in my head repeatedly that we have these beautiful beings to cheer us up) is how I feel when students finally understand the treasure of business intelligence they have access to.☺️ ⠀
... then I go like NOOOOOO when I find out that it's their last term here at Sauder 😩 Am still working on what is the best way to increase their awareness of our resources at least in their second year of their program 🤔

Yesterday was rough. My day started with stepping on my kids trundle bed in just the right spot that would cause it to roll under the bed. This caused the upper half of my body to slam into the wall while the lower half of my body was shoved underneath my bed. There’s about a 2in gap between the mattress & bed frame, so as you could imagine, it did not feel good. However, I do wish that I had this on video because it’s effing hilarious & totally something I would do. . . .
After a painful day at work, I arrived home to this JACKPOT of a package from @nicstone and all was well. So I thought. I ended up having to take my little dude for a late night trip to the ER, which for any parent is never fun & a tad bit scary. “Jackpot” saw me through tho, and had me laughing out loud in the middle of the waiting room on page 4. This is going to be a good one, Y'all! . . . #jackpot#booknerd#bookmail#bookstagram#librarian#inkedlibrarian#librarianlife#projectlitchat#justreadit#weneeddiversebooks
And I'm giving you a longing look
Everyday I write the book.
Chapter One: We didn't really get along.
Chapter Two: I think I fell in love with you.
You said you'd stand by me in the middle of Chapter Three...
